Changes in Version 2.05
The motor faders' response to the ESAM FROM command has been changed
(pages 260 through 264)
The motor faders now respond differently to the ESAM FROM command that the DM1000 receives from the video
editor. Also, additional types of video editors have been verified as compatible with the DM1000.
When any channels other than those connected to FROM machines receive the FROM command from the video
editor, the fader levels are now automatically adjusted to –
dB. You also have the option of not assigning any REC
machines in the ESAM Machine Assign page. Therefore, please note the following changes.
Selecting a REC machine (Step 8 on page 261)
On a channel assigned to a REC machine, fader control via the FROM/TO commands is disabled.
•When using pre-read (page 263), do not select a REC machine.
Setting the fader’s initial and target values of the crossfade (Step 13 on page 263)
•The ESAM command will select the FROM machine channels, but not set the initial value of the crossfade.
•The ESAM command will select the TO machine channels, but not set the target value of the crossfade.
•The initial value of the FROM machine channel level and the target value of the TO machine channel level will
use the values you set most recently by operating the faders manually, or the value of the most recently recalled
scene.
•To store these values in a scene memory, set the fader level of the FROM machine channel as the initial value,
and set the fader level of the TO Machine channel as the target value, then store them.
Video editors with confirmed compatibility (page 264)
As of April, 2005, the following types of video editors have been proved that they correctly work with the DM1000.
•Sony BVE700, BVE2000, BVE9100, PVE500, BZS8050
•Accom Axial 2010, 2020, 3000, AxialMX
•Ampex ACE200
•Panasonic AG A850
