Install this unit in a well ventilated, cool, dry, clean place - away from

direct sunlight, heat sources, vibration, dust, moisture, and/or cold. (Do not

Locate this unit away from other electrical appliances, motors, or

transformers to avoid humming sounds.

Do not expose this unit to sudden temperature changes from cold to hot,

may cause an electrical shock, ﬁre, damage to this unit, and/or personal

Avoid installing this unit where foreign objects may fall onto this unit

and/or this unit may be exposed to liquid dripping or splashing. On the top

of this unit, do NOT place:

Only the voltage speciﬁed on this unit must be used. Using this unit with a

higher voltage than speciﬁed is dangerous and may cause ﬁre, damage to

this unit, and/or personal injury. Yamaha will not be held responsible for

any damage resulting from use of this unit with a voltage other than that

speciﬁed.

Do not attempt to modify or ﬁx this unit. Contact qualiﬁed Yamaha service

personnel when any service is needed. The cabinet should never be opened

for any reason.

When not planning to use this unit for long periods of time (i.e. when

going on vacation), disconnect the power cable from the AC wall outlet.

Be sure to read the “TROUBLESHOOTING” section regarding common

operating errors before concluding that the unit is faulty.

Before moving this unit, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.

Be sure to use the AC adaptor supplied with this unit. Using an AC adaptor

other than the one provided may cause ﬁre or damage to this unit.

Install this unit near the wall outlet and where the power cable can be

reached easily.

For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it

is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the

wall outlet. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and

power-line surges.

The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, ﬁre

or the like.

There is a chance that placing this unit too close to a CRT-based (Braun

tube) TV set might impair picture color. Should this happen, move this unit

away from the TV set.

Even if an iPhone or iPod is not connected to this unit, this unit is not

disconnected from the AC power source as long as it is connected to the

wall outlet. In this state, this unit is designed to consume a very small

quantity of power.

THE WIRES IN MAINS LEAD ARE COLOURED IN ACCORDANCE

WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE:

Blue: NEUTRAL

Brown: LIVE

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatus may not

correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your

plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal

which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK. The wire which is

coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with

the letter L or coloured RED.

Making sure that neither core is connected to the earth terminal of the three

pin plug.

INTRODUCTION

PDX-30 is a portable player dock designed for iPhone or iPod series. The unit

can be operated by the remote control. Also the iPhone or iPod set into the unit

is automatically charged so you can enjoy playing music as long as you want.

CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS

Dock terminal [ ]

Connects the iPhone or iPod series. When the iPhone or iPod is connected, its

battery will be charged. When the iPhone or iPod is disconnected, the unit will

be in standby mode. The iPhone or iPod can be connected (or disconnected)

anytime.

/ (Volume keys) [ ]

Adjusts the volume level.

Status indicator (LED) [ ]

Indicates the current status of the unit.

LED status The current status of this unit

Off The unit is in standby mode. An iPhone

or iPod is not connected, or has stopped

playing. (However, lights up for 30 seconds

after connecting or stopping playback.)

Flashes green Connecting, please wait.

Flashes green once Adjusting the volume level with the volume

keys on the unit or operating with the remote

control.

Lights up green The unit turns on. An iPhone or iPod is

connected.

Lights up green and ﬂashes

red

Flashes red for 2 seconds: An unsupported

iPod is connected.

Keeps ﬂashing red: Connection failed.

(Connect again.)

Flashes red The protection circuitry has been activated.

(Disconnect the AC adaptor and wait for a

Flashes red once The volume of this unit is set to maximum

or minimum.

DC IN 15V jack [ ]

Connect the AC adaptor to this jack to supply power. When the AC adaptor is

connected, the unit will be in standby mode, consuming a small quantity of

electricity. When an iPhone or iPod is connected to the unit in standby mode,

the unit turns on. When the iPhone or iPod is disconnected, the unit returns to

standby mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Refer to the table below if the unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below, or if the instruction below does not help, turn

off this unit, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center.

INTRODUCTION

PDX-30 est une station d’accueil pour baladeur destinée aux iPhone ou iPod.

Cet appareil peut être utilisé à l’aide du boîtier de télécommande. Par ailleurs,

l’iPhone ou l’iPod installé dans l’appareil se recharge automatiquement pour

vous permettre d’écouter de la musique aussi longtemps que vous le souhaitez.

Pour raccorder les iPhone ou iPod. La batterie de l’iPhone ou l’iPod se

recharge dès qu’il est connecté. Quand l’iPhone ou l’iPod est déconnecté,

l’appareil est mode veille. L’iPhone ou l’iPod peut être connecté (ou

déconnecté) à tout moment.

Indique l’état actuel de l’appareil.

Éteinte L’appareil est en mode veille. Aucun

Prise DC IN 15V [ ]

Pour l’alimentation électrique, raccordez l’adaptateur secteur à cette prise. Une

fois l’adaptateur secteur branché, l’appareil passe en mode veille et consomme

une faible quantité d’électricité. Lorsque vous connectez un iPhone ou un

iPod à l’appareil en mode veille, l’appareil se met sous tension. Lorsque vous

déconnectez l’iPhone ou l’iPod, l’appareil repasse en mode veille.

GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE

Reportez-vous au tableau suivant si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas comme il devrait. Si l’anomalie constatée n’est pas mentionnée ci-dessous, ou encore si les actions

correctives suggérées sont sans effet, mettez l’appareil hors tension, débranchez le câble d’alimentation et prenez contact avec le revendeur ou le service après-

vente Yamaha agréé le plus proche.

L’iPhone ou l’iPod n’est pas fermement raccordé. Raccordez fermement l’iPhone ou l’iPod.

La version du logiciel de l’iPhone ou de l’iPod n’a

pas été mise à jour.

Téléchargez le logiciel iTunes le plus récent pour

mettre à jour la version du logiciel de l’iPhone ou

de l’iPod.

L’appareil est hors tension. Raccordez correctement l’adaptateur secteur.

Le volume est réduit. Augmentez le volume.

Le circuit de protection a été actionné en raison

d’un volume excessif.

Réduisez le volume.

Impossible de régler le volume de cet

appareil en modiﬁant le volume de

l’iPhone ou de l’iPod.

L’iPhone ou l’iPod utilisé n’est pas pris en charge

par cet appareil, ou encore l’iPhone ou l’iPod

n’est pas fermement raccordé.

Utilisez l’iPhone ou l’iPod pris en charge.

Raccordez fermement l’iPhone ou l’iPod.

L’écran de l’iPhone ou de l’iPod ne

change pas lors de l’appui sur les touches

de réglage du volume du boîtier de

télécommande.

Das Dock PDX-30 für tragbare Player ist für iPhones und iPods konzipiert.

Das Gerät kann über die Fernbedienung gesteuert werden. Außerdem wird ein

iPhone oder iPod, der in das Gerät eingesetzt ist, automatisch geladen, so dass

Hier schließen Sie das iPhone oder den iPod an. Wenn ein iPhone oder iPod

angeschlossen ist, wird dessen Akku geladen. Wenn das iPhone bzw. der iPod

vom Gerät getrennt ist, beﬁndet sich das Gerät im Standby-Modus. Das iPhone

bzw. der iPod kann jederzeit angeschlossen (oder vom Gerät getrennt) werden.

Modus ein iPhone oder einen iPod an das Gerät anschließen, schaltet sich das

Gerät ein. Das Gerät wechselt wieder in den Standby-Modus, sobald Sie das

iPhone bzw. den iPod vom Gerät trennen.

STÖRUNGSBEHEBUNG

Wenn das Gerät nicht richtig funktioniert, schlagen Sie mögliche Abhilfemaßnahmen in der folgenden Tabelle nach. Wenn das Problem in der Tabelle nicht

aufgeführt ist oder sich mit den genannten Abhilfemaßnahmen nicht beheben lässt, schalten Sie das Gerät aus, lösen Sie das Netzkabel und wenden Sie sich an

2. Das Produkt MUSS von einem AUTORISIERTEN Yamaha-Händler innerhalb des Europäischen Wirtschaftsraums (EWR) oder der Schweiz gekauft

worden sein.

3. Das Produkt darf nicht Modiﬁkationen oder Änderungen unzerzogen worden sein, ausgenommen wenn ausdrücklich von Yamaha autorisiert.

4. Folgendes ist von dieser Garantie ausgenommen:

a. Regelmäßige Wartung und Reparatur bzw. Austausch von Teilen aufgrund von normalem Verschleiß.

b. Schäden, bewirkt durch:

(2) Ungeeignete Verpackung oder Behandlung beim Transport des Produkts vom Kunden. Beachten Sie, dass es in der Verantwortung des Kunden

liegt, sicherzustellen, dass das Produkt bei der Einreichung zur Reparatur angemessen verpackt ist.

(3) Missbrauch, einschliesslich – aber nicht beschränkt auf (a) Verwendung des Produkts für einen anderen als den vorgesehenen Zweck oder

Missachtung von Yamahas Anweisungen zur richtigen Verwendung, Wartung und Lagerung und (b) Aufstellung oder Verwendung des Produkts auf

eine Weise, die den technischen oder Sicherheitsstandards am Aufstellungsort widerspricht.

(4) Unfälle, Blitzschlag, Wasser, Feuer, falsche Lüftung, Batterielecks oder andere von Yamaha nicht vorhersehbare Ursachen.

(5) Defekte an dem System, in dieses Produkt eingebaut wird und/oder Inkompatibilität mit Produkten Dritter.

(6) Verwendung eines in den EWR und/oder die Schweiz importierten Produkts durch andere gesetzliche Personen als Yamaha, wobei das Produkt

nicht mit den technischen oder Sicherheitsstandards des Verwendunglandes und/oder der Standardspeziﬁkation eines von Yamaha im EWR und/

oder der Schweiz verkauften Produkts übereinstimmt.

(7) Andere als auf den AV- (audio-visuellen) Bereich bezogene Produkte.

6. Yamaha haftet nicht für jegliche entstehende Schäden oder Verluste, weder direkte Folgeschäden oder andere, in einem weiteren Umfang als durch

Reparatur oder Austausch dieses Produktes.

livsfarliga elektriska stötar och/eller skada på enheten.

Täck inte över enheten med tidningspapper, dukar, gardiner e.dyl., så att

värmeavledningen blockeras. Om temperaturen inuti enheten blir för hög

kan det orsaka brand, skada på enheten och/eller kroppsskada.

Använd inte enheten uppochnervänd. Den kan då överhettas, så att den

troligtvis skadas.

Utsätt inte omkopplare, knappar och/eller kablar för hårdhänt hantering.

När du tar ur nätsladden ur vägguttaget, ta tag i kontakten; dra inte i

sladden.

Rengör inte enheten med hjälp av kemiska lösningsmedel, eftersom det

kan skada ytbehandlingen. Använd en ren, torr trasa.

Endast den spänning som står angiven på enheten får användas. Anslutning

till en strömkälla med högre spänning än den som anges är farligt och

kan orsaka brand, skada på enheten och/eller kroppsskada. Yamaha påtar

sig inget ansvar för skada orsakad av att enheten används med en annan

Försök inte själv modiﬁera eller laga enheten. Kontakta en kvaliﬁcerad

Yamaha-reparatör vid behov av reparation. Höljet bör aldrig öppnas av

någon anledning.

När du inte planerar att använda enheten på en tid (till exempel när du åker

på semester), ta ur nätsladden ur vägguttaget.

Läs igenom avsnittet ”FELSÖKNING” för att kontrollera att inget vanligt

manövreringsfel föreligger, innan slutsaten att det är något fel på enheten

dras.

Dra ur nätsladden ur vägguttaget innan du ﬂyttar enheten.

Använd endast den nätadapter som levereras med enheten. Användning av

en annan nätadapter än den medföljande kan orsaka brand eller skada på

enheten.

Installera denna enhet nära vägguttaget och där du lätt kommer åt

nätsladden.

Koppla loss produkten från nätuttaget för att skydda den vid åskväder och

när den inte ska användas under en längre tid. Produkten skyddas då från

skador på grund av blixtnerslag eller överspänning i elnätet.

Utsätt inte batterierna för kraftig värme från exempelvis solljus, eld eller

liknande.

INLEDNING

PDX-30 är en portabel uppspelardocka som är avsedd för olika modeller av

iPhone och iPod. Enheten kan manövreras med fjärrkontrollen. Den iPhone

Se si prevede di non dover usare quest’unità per qualche tempo, (ad

esempio prima di andare in vacanza), scollegare il cavo di alimentazione

Prima di concludere che quest’unità è guasta, leggere sempre la sezione

“DIAGNOSTICA”, che riguarda comuni errori di uso della stessa.

Prima di spostare quest’unità, scollegare il cavo di alimentazione dalla

presa a muro.

Non mancare di usare solo l’adattatore di corrente alternata in dotazione a

quest’unità. Usando un adattatore di corrente alternata diverso si possono

causare incendi e guasti.

Installare quest’unità vicino alla presa a muro e dove il cavo di

alimentazione possa venire facilmente staccato.

Per proteggere quest’unità da guasti durante un temporale o quando non

viene usata per qualche tempo, scollegarne la spina di alimentazione dalla

presa. Questo previene danni al prodotto dovuti a fulmini e ad aumenti

della tensione di rete.

Le batterie vanno protette da calore eccessivo, ad esempio luce solare

diretta, ﬁamme, e così via.

Collegare l’adattatore di c.a. a questa spinotto per alimentare l’unità. Una

volta collegato l’adattatore di c.a., l’unità si troverà in modalità di standby

consumando quindi una quantità di elettricità ridotta. Se si collega un iPhone

o un iPod in modalità di standby, l’unità si accenderà. Una volta scollegato

l’iPhone o l’iPod, l’unità ritornerà in modalità di standby.
