1. SAFE OPERATING PRACTICES

USE THE UNIT CORRECTLY

This unit is intended exclusively:

n for use in accordance with the descrip-

tions and safety instructions specified in

this operating manual,

n for use in the garden,

n for mowing lawn edges and small or in-

accessible grassy areas ( e.g. under

bushes).

n as well as for cutting rank weeds,

shrubs and undergrowth.

This unit is not permitted for any other use.

The user is liable for any injury to third par-

ties or damage to their property.

Operate the unit only in the delivered techni-

cal condition as stipulated by the manufac-

turer.

Any unauthorised changes to the unit will

exempt the manufacturer from liability for

any resulting damage.

2. SAFETY WARNINGS

n Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar

with the controls and proper use of the

unit.

n Children and adolescents (<16 years old)

must not manipulate unit, except for ado-

lescents in training and under the super-

vision of a specialist.

n Keep all bystanders at least 5 m away

from the unit during operation.

n Make sure there are no branches or

stones etc. in the way of the cord or the

cutting blade, before starting up the

appliance.

n Use the unit only in daylight or good

artificial light.

n Be aware of the risk of injury ta the head,

hands and feet.

n When working with the unit, always

wear sturdy, rubber-soled footwear and

body protection appropriate to operation

of the unit.

n When working with the unit, use the

safety attachments supplied.

n Before starting, adjust the handle to your

size.

n Do not overreach. Keep proper footing

and balance at all times.

n All interventions, whether for

maintenance, repair or for changing

cutting head or safety attachments, must

be undertaken with the motor stopped.

n Frequently inspect the condition of the

cutting head, All damaged parts must

immediately be replaced.

n Follow all the required precautions when

undertaking replacement.

n Use only replacement parts

recommended by the manufacturer.

n All guards must be installed properly

before operating the unit.

n Caution-Danger! Cutting head is still

running.

n Keep unit clean of vegetation and other

materials.

n Keep connecting wires away from the

tools.

n Turn off the unit and pull the main plug

before set-up or cleaning of the unit, and

before testing for tangled or damaged

wires.

n The connecting wires must be inspected

regularly for signs of damage or age.

n The unit must not be used if the

connecting wires are not in perfect

condition.

the unit or adjustments to cutting height or

work height may only be performed when

the motor is off/still and the main plug is

disconnected.

n Cord Sets - Make sure your cord set is in

good condition. When using a cord set,

be sure to use a cord that is heavy

enough to carry the current that your unit

wilI draw. An undersized cord set will

cause a drop in line voltage resulting in

power and overheating.

n The table (below) shows the correct size

to use depending on the cord length and

nameplate amperage rating. If in doubt,

use the next heavier size Iine gauge. The

smaller the gauge number, the heavier the

cord.

n For safety reasons, the socket used to

power the unit should be backed up by a

residual current-operated (FI)

circuitbreaker which can be tripped by a

max. current of 30mA.

n A fatal injury could occur if you sever the

mains cable while mowing is taking place.

Slowly step away from the unit. Pull the

plug out of the mains socket.

3. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

HANDLE

n Push the handle down onto the boom

(

FIG. 1).

n Install and tighten the bolts and nuts.

SAFETY GUARD ASSEMBLY

n Assemble the safety guard as shown in

FIG. 4.

n Assemble the cutting cord blade as

shown in FIG. 4.

STRING GUARD

n Place the safety guard onto the coupling

joint pointing towards the motor as

indicated in FIG. 5.

n Fix the safety guard into position with the

special lock FIG. 5.

n Use the screw indicated in FIG. 5 to

prevent the safety guard from rotating.

CUTTING BLADE ASSEMBLY

n Follow indications given in FIG. 2 to

assemble the cutting blade.

ASSEMBLY OF REEL WITH NYLON CORD

n Proceed as indicated in FIG. 3 to

assemble the reel with nylon cord.

OPERATING CLICK-LINK® SYSTEM

NOTE: To make installing or removing the

add-on easier, place the unit on the ground

or on a work bench.

Removing the Cutting Attachment or

Add-Ons:

n Turn the knob counterclockwise to loosen

(

FIG. 19).

n Press and hold the release button (

FIG. 19).

n While firmly holding the upper shaft tube,

pull the cutting attachment or add-on

straight out of the Click-Link ® coupler

(

FIG. 20).

Installing the Cutting Attachment or

n Turn knob counterclockwise to loosen

n While firmly holding the add-on, push it

straight into the Click-Link ® coupler (

NOTE: Aligning the release button with the

n FOR BASIC TRIMMING OR FOR MOST

ADD-ONS - Locate and lock the release

button into the Primary hole (

FIG. 20).

n Turn the knob clockwise to tighten (

FIG. 21). Ensure it is tight before operating

the unit.

4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CONNECTING THE CORD

To prevent disconnection when you

connect the extension cord to the power

cord, use the cord hook (Fig. 18), or tie the

cords in a knot.

STARTING / STOPPING

n Press control switch to switch on the

appliance, release to switch off.

HOLDING THE TRIMMER

n Hold the trimmer as shown FIG. 6

ADJUSTING LINE LENGTH

The trimmer has a bump (cutting) head,

which releases more trimming line without

stopping the motor.

n When the cord starts to get a bit short,

knock the cutting head on the bare

ground or on hard ground to make the

appliance work at top speed. Repeat the

process as often as necessary (

FIG.

7).

DECORATIVE TRIMMING

Use a 30-degree angle to remove all

vegetation around trees, posts, fences (

FIG. 8).

EDGING

When edging, let the tip of the trimming line

do the work (

1. The cutting head will be at the correct

angle by holding it parallel to the ground.

2. DO NOT FORCE THE UNIT.

3. Cut to your left for best cutting, and to

throw the clippings away from the op-

erator.

4. Move the trimmer slowly in and out of

the area being cut, using a forward-

backward or side-to-side motion.

Maintain top speed for best cutting.

5. Trim only when grass and weeds are

dry.

6. The life of your cutting line depends on

your trimming techniques, what is being

cut, and where the cutting is being

done. Some line breakage will occur

from:

n Entanglement with foreign matter

n Normal line fatigue

n Attempting to cut thick weeds

n Forcing the line into walls or

fenceposts

5. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLING A NEW TRIMMING LINE

The trimming line may be replaced by two

methods - rewinding the existing reel or

installing a prewound reel.

REWINDING THE EXISTING REEL

To rewind the existing reel you must:

n Check for the correct line size.

n Remove the inner reel and spring.

n Wind the reel with the new line.

n Reinstall the existing reel and spring.

THE CORRECT LINE TO USE

Use a dual line reel with Ø 2,00 mm.

REMOVING THE EXISTING REEL

n Unscrew the coil lock-nut clockwise (

FIG. 10).

n Remove the inner reel (

FIG. 11).

n Use a clean cloth to clean the inside of

the outer spool (

FIG. 12).

n Check the indexing teeth on the reel and

spool for wear (

FIG. 13). If

necessary, replace the reel and spool.

WINDING THE EXISTING REEL

n Insert the ends of new trimming line into

the inner reel holes (

FIG. 14).

n Loop the line into two equal lengths

before inserting it into the holes.

n Wind the line, in even and tight layers

(

FIG. 15), onto the reel, and in the

direction indicated.

n Push the ends of the line into the

slots(

FIG. 16).

REINSTALLING THE REEL

n Insert the ends of the line through the

eyelets in the outer spool (

FIG. 17).

n Grasp the ends and pull firmly to release

the line from the slots in the spool.

n Screw up the coil lock-nut again

anticlockwise(

FIG. 10).

Line installation is now complete.

INSTALLING A PREWOUND REEL

n Use the same instructions as the existing

reel:

n The Correct Line to Use;

n Removing the Existing Reel;

n Reinstalling the Reel.

CLEANING / STORAGE

n Do not block the air vents.

n Do not use strong detergents on the

plastic housing or handle.

n Moisture can cause a shock hazard.

Wipe off moisture with a soft cloth.

n Clean the unit thoroughly before storing.

Hang the unit by the handle loop and

store it in a dry, well-ventilated area, out

of the reach of children.

n Gardez toujours le cordon d’alimentation

et les rallonges à distance des outils de

coupe.

n Éteignez l’appareil et débranchez la prise

principal0 avant tout ajustage ou

nettoyage. • Procédez de même

pour tester les cordons enchevêtrés ou

abîmés.

n Les cordons doivent être vérifiés

régulièrement afin de détecter tout

dommage ou usure.

n L’appareil ne doit être utilisé que si les

cordons sont en parfaite condition.

n Ne procéder à l’entretien et au nettoyage

de l’appareil ou au réglage de la position

de coupe que lorsque le moteur est arrêté

et que le cordon d’alimentation est

débranché.

n Prolongateurs: Assurez-vous qu’ils sont

en bon état et d’un calibre suffisant pour

transporter le courant nécessaire à

l’appareil. Un cordon de taille insuffisante

provoquerait une baisse de tension et

une surchauffe. Le tableau ci-dessous

indique la dimension correcte à utiliser en

fonction de la longueur du cordon et du

nombre d’ampères. En cas de doute,

utilisez un cordon d’un calibre supérieur.

Plus le chiffre correspondant au calibrage

est petit, plus le cordon est résistant.

n Pour des raisons de sécurité, l'appareil

doit être branché à une prise électrique

protégée par un interrupteur différentiel

avec un courant maximum de 30 mA.

n En cas de coupure accidentelle du câble

électrique d'alimentation pendant l'utilisa-

tion de l'appareil, débrancher immédiate-

ment la fiche de la prise électrique.

3. INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE

POIGNÉE

n Faites glisser la poignée le long du man-

che (

FIG. 1).

n Mettez en place l’écrou et le boulon puis

serrez.

MONTAGE DE LA PROTECTION

n Montez la protection de la façon indiquée

sur la FIG. 4.

n Montez la lame coupe fil de la façon

indiquée su la FIG. 4.

CAPOT DE PROTECTION

n Placez la protection sur le raccordement

d'accouplement, en l'orientant vers le

moteur, de la façon indiquée sur la FIG. 5.

n Fixez la protection à l'aide de la vis faite

exprès, FIG. 5.

n Pour empêcher que la protection ne

pivote, utilisez la vis de la façon indiquée

sur la FIG. 5.

MONTAGE DE LA LAME DE COUPE

n Pour monter la lame de coupe, procédez

de la façon indiquée sur la FIG. 2.

MONTAGE DE LA TÊTE AVEC FIL DE NYLON

n Pour monter la tête avec fil de Nylon,

procédez de la façon indiquée sur la FIG. 3.

FONCTIONNEMENT DU CLICK-LINK

Retrait de l'accessoire de coupe ou

n Dévissez le bouton vers la gauche (

n Appuyez sur le bouton de déclenchement

et maintenez-le enfoncé (

4. INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION

CONNEXION DU PROLONGATEUR

Afin d’éviter toute déconnexion intem-

pestive lorsque vous connectez le

prolongateur au cordon d’alimentation,

utilisez le fixe-cordon (

FIG. 18). Vous

pouvez également nouer le prolongateur et

le cordon.

DÉMARRAGE / ARRÊT

n Pour démarrer l'appareil appuyez sur

l'interrupteur de commande et lâchez-le

pour l'arrêter.

MANIEMENT

n Tenez le coupe-bordures comme indiqué

RÉGLAGE DE LA LONGUEUR DU FIL DE COUPE

Ce coupe-bordure possède un système de

coupe à fil, permettant de dérouler le fil de

coupe sans arrêter le moteur.

n Lorsque le câble commence à être court,

frappez la tête de coupe directement sur

le sol ou sur un terrain dur en faisant

fonctionner l'appareil à grande vitesse

(

Inclinez l’appareil selon un angle de 30° pour

retirer toute végétation autour des arbres,

des poteaux, des haies etc. (

FIG. 8).

BORDURES

Lorsque vous coupez des bordures, lais-

sez l’extrémité du fil effectuer la coupe.

COUPE DES BORDURES

1. La tête de coupe se trouvera à un angle

correct en étant parallèle au sol.

2. NE FORCEZ PAS L’APPAREIL.

3. Pour effectuer une meilleure coupe et

évacuer les débris d’herbe loin de vous,

travaillez sur votre gauche.

4. Déplacez le coupe-bordures lentement

à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de la zone de

coupe, par un mouvement d’avant en

arrière et de gauche à droite.

Conservez une vitesse élevée pour une

meilleure coupe.

5. Coupez uniquement lorsque le gazon et

les herbes sont secs.

6. La durée de vie de votre fil dépend de

vos techniques de coupe, de ce que

vous coupez, et des endroits où vous

effectuez ces coupes. Des ruptures de

fil peuvent être causées par:

n des objets s’accrochant au fil;

n une usure normale du fil;

n une tentative de couper des herbes

épaisses et robustes;

n un choc contre des murs ou des

barrières.

5. INSTRUCTIONS D’ENTRETIEN / RÉPARATION

INSTALLATION D’UN NOUVEAU FIL DE COUPE

Vous pouvez remplacer le fil de coupe de

deux manières différentes : en enroulant un

nouveau fil sur la bobine existante ou en

installant une nouvelle bobine de fil.

UTILISATION DE LA BOBINE EXISTANTE

Pour utiliser la bobine réceptrice existante,

vous devez:

n Vérifier le diamètre du fil à utiliser.

n Enlever la bobine réceptrice et le ressort.

n Enrouler le nouveau fil de coupe sur la

bobine réceptrice.

n Réinstaller la bobine réceptrice et le

ressort.

FIL DE COUPE À UTILISER

Utilisez une bobine réceptrice à deux fils

avec un fil de coupe de Ø 2,00 mm.

DÉMONTAGE DE LA BOBINE EXISTANTE

n Dévissez, en sens horaire, le contre-

écrou de blocage de la bobine, (

FIG.

10).

n Démontez la bobine réceptrice (

FIG.

11).

n A l’aide d’un chiffon propre, nettoyez l’in-

térieur de la bobine débitrice (

FIG. 12).

n Vérifiez le degré d’usure des dents (

FIG. 13). Si nécessaire, remplacez les bo-

bines réceptrice et débitrice.

ENROULAGE DU FIL

n Insérez les extrémités du nouveau fil de

coupe dans les trous de la bobine

réceptrice (

FIG. 14).

n Formez une boucle de façon à obtenir

deux longueurs égales avant d’insérer le

fil dans les trous.

n Enroulez le fil autour de la bobine en

couches régulières et serrées (

FIG.

15), dans le sens indiqué.

NETTOYAGE / STOCKAGE

n N’obstruez pas les filtres à air.

n N’utilisez pas de détergeants puissants

sur les revêtements en plastique ni sur la

poignée.

n L’humidité entraîne des risques de courts-

circuits. Essuyez donc bien la machine

avec un chiffon doux.

n Nettoyez soigneusement l’appareil avant

de l’entreposer. Accrochez-le par la

poignée dans un endroit sec et aéré, hors

de portée des enfants.

2. GEFAHRENHINWEISE

 Lesen Sie diese Anweisungen sorgfältig

durch. Machen Sie sich mit der Bedienung

und der Handhabung des Gerätes ver-

 Arbeiten Sie nie ohne die vorgesehenen

Schutzvorrichtungen mit dem Gerät.

 Der Griff muß vor Arbeitsbeginn entspre-

 Schalten Sie das Gerät ab und ziehen Sie

den Stecker aus der Steckdose,bevor Sie

das Gerät einstellen oder reinigen und be-

vor Sie es auf verwi bzw.beschädigte

Kabel prüfen.

 Die Kabel müssen regelmäßig geprüft

werden,um Beschädigung und Ver-

schleiß mit Sicherheit festzustellen.

 Das Gerät darf nur mit Kabeln in ein-

wandfreiem Zustand benutzt werden.

 Wartungs-und Reinigungsarbeiten am Ge-

rät und das Verstellen der Schnitt-

bzw.Arbeitshöhe dürfen nur bei still-

gesetztem Motor und gezogenem Netz-

stecker vorgenommen werden.

 Gehen Sie sicher,dass Ihre Kabel in gu-

tem Zustand sind,und dass Sie ein Kabel

verwenden, das stark genug ist für den

Strom,den Ihr Gerät abnehmen wird.

 Ein zu kleines Kabel w einen Spannungs-

abfall verursachen,der wiederum Überhit-

zung und Spannungsabfall hervorrufen

würde.Die Tabelle zeigt die zu verwen-

dende korrekte Grösse, welche von der

Länge des Kabels und der auf dem

Namensschild angegebenen Ampèrezahl

abhängt.Im Zweifelsfall benutzen Sie die

nächstgrössere Leitungsstärke.Je kleiner

die Messzahl,desto stärker das Kabel.

 Verwenden Sie an Ihrer Netzsteckdose

einen Personenschutzschalter (=Fehler-

stromschutzschalter mit höchstens 30mA

Auslösestrom).

 Sollten Sie beim Mähen das Kabel durch-

trennen, besteht Lebens- oder Verletz-

ungsgefahr. Entfernen Sie Sich langsam

in kleinen Schritten vom Gerät. Ziehen Sie

den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

3. EINBAUANWEISUNGEN

HANDGRIFF

 Lassen Sie den Handgriff den Schaft ent-

lang gleiten (

ABB. 1).

 Plazieren Sie die Schraube, mutter

und ziehen Sie sie fest.

MONTAGE DER SCHUTZVORRICHTUNG

 Die Schutzvorrichtung wie in ABB. 4 mon-

tieren.

 Die Schneideklinge wie in ABB. 4 montie-

ren.

SCHUTZKAPPE

 Die Schutzvorrichtung auf dem Verbin-

dungsstück anbringen sodaß er in Rich-

tung Motor zeigt (

ABB. 5).

 Mit der Feststellvorrichtung fixieren (

ABB. 5).

 Um zu vermeiden,daß sich die Schutzvor-

richtung dreht,die Fixierschraube wie in

ABB. 5 benutzen.

4. BENUTZUNGSANWEISUNGEN

kabel anschließen,um eine ungewollte Tren-

nung sicher zu verhindern (

können auch eine Knotenverbindung zwi-

schen Verlängerungsschnur und

Versorgungsschnur herstelle.

EIN-/AUSSCHALTEN

 Zum Einschalten den Start-Schalter

HANDHABUNG

 Halten Sie den Rasenrandschneider wie

abgebildet (

LÄNGENEINSTELLUNG DES SCHNEIDFADEN

Dieser Rasenrandschneider ist mit einem

Bump-Head-System ausgestattet,durch das

der Schneidfaden abgewickelt werden

kann, ohne den Motor abzustellen.

Lassen Sie das Ende des Schneidfadens

am Rasenrand seine Schnittfunktion aus-

üben.

2. ÜBERBEANSPRUCHEN SIE DAS GERÄT

NICHT.

3. Arbeiten Sie nach links,um optimale

Schnittergebnisse zu erzielen und das

Schnittgut sowie Steine u.ä.vom Bedie-

ner weg zu schleudern.

4. Führen Sie den Rasenrandschneider

langsam in den Schnittbereich hinein

und wieder heraus,indem Sie Vorwärts-

/Rückwärtsbewegungen oder seitliche

Bewegungen ausführen. Behatten Sie

für beste Schnittergebnisse die hohe

Geschwindigkeit aufrecht.

5. Schneiden Sie nur Rasen und Gras in

trockenem Zustand.

6. Die Lebensdauer Ihres Schneidfadens

ist von Ihrer Schnittechnik,dem Schnitt-

gut und den Stellen,an denen Sie das

Gerät einsetzen,abhängig.Faden kann

auf folgenden Ursachen beruhen:

 es haben sich Steine,Äste o.ä..am Fa-

den verfangen;

 der normale Verschleiß des Fadens

 Sie haben versucht,zu dicke Stengel

zu schneiden;

 das Gerät ist gegen eine Mauer oder

Schranke geprallt.

5. WARTUNGS-UND REPARATURANWEISUNGEN

EINBAU EINES NEUEN SCHNEID FADENS

Sie können den Schneidfaden auf zwei Ar-

ten ersetzen:indem Sie einen neuen Faden

auf die vorhandene Rolle wickeln oder in-

dem Sie eine neue Fadenrolle einbauen.

WEITERVERWENDUNG DER VORHANDENEN ROLLE

Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:

 Vergewissern Sie sich hinsichtlich der

einzusetzenden Faden

 Nehmen Sie die Aufwickelrolle und die Fe-

der heraus.

 Wickeln Sie den neuen Schneidfaden auf

die Rolle auf.

 Setzen Sie Aufwickelrolle und Feder wie-

der ein.

ZU VERWENDENDER SCHNEIDFADEN

Nehmen Sie eine Doppelfaden Aufwickelrolle

mit einem Schneid faden von Ø 2,00 mm.

AUSBAU DER VORHANDENEN ROLLE

 Die Kontermutter zur Fixierung der Spule

im Uhrzeigersinn lockern (

ABB. 10).

 Bauen Sie die Aufwickelrolle aus (

ABB. 11).

 Reinigen Sie die Aufwickelrolle mit einem

sauberen Lappen (

ABB. 12).

 Prüfen Sie den Verschleiß der Zähne

(

ABB. 13).Falls erforderlich,wechseln

Sie die Auf-und Abwickelrollen aus.

AUFWICKELN DES FADENS

 Führen Sie die Enden des neuen

Schneidfadens in die öcher der

Aufwickelrolle ein (

ABB. 14).

 Bilden Sie einen Schleife,um zwei gleiche

Fadenlängen zu erhalten,bevor Sie den

Draht in die Löcher der Spule einführen.

 Wickeln Sie den Faden gleichmäßig und

eng (

ABB. 15) in der angegebenen

Richtung auf.

 Führen Sie die Fadenenden in die Schlitze

ein (

ABB. 16).

WIEDEREINBAU DER ROLLE

 Führen Sie die Fadenenden in die Ösen

der Abwickelrolle ein (

ABB. 17).

 Ziehen Sie kräftig an den um den Faden

aus der Aussparung der Aufwickelrolle

hervorzuziehen.

 Die Kontermutter zur Fixierung der Spule

gegen den Uhrzeigersinn festschrauben

(

ABB. 10).

Der Fadeneinbau ist hiermit abgeschlossen.

EINBAU EINER NEUEN ROLLE

Gehen Sie wie bei der Wiederwer

wendung der vorhandenen Auf

wickelrolle vor:

 Wahl des zu verwendenden

Schneidfadens

 Ausbau der vor handenen Aufwickel-

rolle;

 Wiedereinbau der Aufwickelrolle.

REINIGUNG /AUFBEWAHRUNG

 Verstopfen Sie die Luftgitter nicht.

 Verwenden Sie keine scharfen Reini-

gungsmittel für die Plastikteile und den

Griff.

 Feuchtigkeit birgt Kurzschlußrisiken. Wi-

schen Sie das Gerät gründlich mit einem

weichen Lappen ab.

 Reinigen Sie den Rasenrandschneider

sorgfältig,bevor Sie ihn wegräumen. Set-

zen Sie ihn immer in seine Wandhalterung

ein,die sich in einem trockenen und gut

belüfteten Raum außerhalb der Reich-

weite von Kindern befinden muß.

Lassen Sie Reparaturen ausschließlich von

einer Fachwerkstatt ausführen.

n Non sopravvalutare le proprie forze. La-

vorando, assicurarsi di avere appoggi

stabili.

n Gli interventi di manutenzione e riparazio-

ne, così come la sostituzione del filo o dei

dispositivi di protezione, devono sempre

essere effettuati a motore spento.

n Controllare frequentemente lo stato del-

l'apparecchiatura. Qualsiasi componente

danneggiato deve essere immediatamente

sostituito. Durante tali interventi adottare

ogni necessaria misura precauzionale.

n Utilizzare unicamente pezzi di ricambio

originali.

n Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchio installare

correttamente tutte le protezioni.

n Attenzione! Pericolo! La testa a fili conti-

nua a girare!

n Verificare che nell'apparecchio non sia

rimasta dell'erba o altri corpi estranei.

n Tenere sempre il cavo di alimentazione e

le prolunghe distanti dall'utensile.

n Spegnere il motore e scollegare la presa

principale prima di pulire o regolare l'appa-

recchio o prima di verificare i cavi aggro-

vigliati o danneggiati.

n Verificare regolarmente i cavi allo scopo

di individuare eventuali danni o usura.

n Utilizzare l'utensile solo se i cavi sono in

perfette condizioni.

n La manutenzione e la pulizia dell'apparec-

chio e la regolazione della testa a fili de-

vono essere eseguite solamente a motore

spento e con la spina disinserita.

n Cavi elettrici - assicuratevi che il cavo di

prolunga sia in buone condizioni e che sia

adatto alla potenza assorbita dall'appa-

recchio. Un cavo sottodimensionato può

causare caduta di tensione e

surriscaldamento. La tavola illustra la cor-

retta sezione del cavo da usare in rela-

zione alla lunghezza ed alla corrente

(vedi etichetta sull'apparecchio). Nel dub-

bio, usare un cavo di sezione maggiore.

n Per ragioni di sicurezza l'utensile deve

essere collegato ad una presa di elettrici-

tà protetta da un interruttore differenziale

con una corrente max di 30 mA.

n In caso di taglio accidentale del cavo elet-

trico di alimentazione durante l'uso del-

l'utensile, staccare immediatamente la spi-

na dalla presa di corrente.

3. ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO

IMPUGNATURA

n Far scivolare l'impugnatura lungo l'asta

n Montare e serrare la vite ed il dado.

ASSEMBLAGGIO PROTEZIONE

n Assemblare la protezione come mostrato

in FIG. 4.

n Montare la lama tagliafilo come indicato in

FIG. 4.

PROTEZIONE

n Posizionare la protezione sul raccordo di

accoppiamento orientata verso il motore

come indicato in FIG. 5.

n Fissare la protezione mediante l'apposito

fermo FIG. 5.

n Per il impedire la rotazione della protezio-

ne usare la vite come indicato in FIG. 5.

MONTAGGIO DELLA LAMA DI TAGLIO

n Per il motaggio della lama di taglio proce-

dere come indicato in FIG. 2.

MONTAGGIO DELLA TESTA CON FILO IN NYLON

n Per il motaggio della testa con filo in nylon

procedere come indicato in FIG. 3.

4. ISTRUZIONI D'USO

COLLEGAMENTO DELLA PROLUNGA

Al fine di evitare la sconnessione intempe-

stiva della prolunga con il cavo di alimenta-

zione, utilizzare il fissacavo (

FIG. 18). A

tale scopo, si possono anche annodare la

prolunga e il cavo.

AVVIO / ARRESTO

n Per avviare l'apparecchio premere l'inter-

ruttore di comando e per arrestarlo, rila-

sciarlo.

COME TENERE IL TAGLIAERBA

n Tenere il tagliaerba come indicato in FIG. 6

REGISTRAZIONE DELLA LUNGHEZZA DEL FILO DI TAGLIO

Il tagliaerba è munito di un dispositivo "Bump

Head", che consente di svolgere il filo di ta-

glio senza fermare il motore.

n Quando il filo comincia ad essere corto,

battere la testa di taglio sul terreno nudo o

su un suolo duro facendo funzionare l'ap-

parecchio a grande velocità. Rifare la

stessa operazione ogni volta che risulti

necessario (

FIG. 7).

TOSATURE DIFFICILI

Per tagliare tutta la vegetazione presente

attorno ad alberi, pali, recinzioni, ecc…, in-

clinare l'apparecchio secondo un angolo di

30° (

FIG. 8).

BORDI

Per questo tipo di operazione, lasciare che

sia l'estremità del filo ad eseguire la

tosatura.

1. La testa di taglio dovrà trovarsi parallela

al suolo.

2. NON FORZARE SULL' APPARECCHIO.

3. Per effettuare una tosatura migliore, al-

lontanare l'erba tagliata e lavorare nella

zona alla vostra sinistra.

4. Spostare lentamente il tagliaerba all'in-

terno ed all'esterno dell'area da tosare

con un movimento oscillante in avanti ed

indietro e da sinistra a destra. Per una

tosatura migliore, lavorare ad una velo-

cità elevata.

5. Tosare solo quando l'erba ed il prato

sono asciutti.

6. La durata del filo di taglio, dipende dalla

tecnica di tosatura impiegata, da ciò che

si taglia e dalle aree su cui viene effet-

tuata la tosatura. La rottura del filo può

essere prodotta:

n da oggetti che si agganciano al filo;

n da normale usura del filo;

n dal tentativo di tagliare degli steli trop-

po grossi;

n da uno choc contro un muro o una

recinzione.

5. INTERVENTI DI MANUTENZIONE / RIPARAZIONE

MONTAGGIO DI UN NUOVO FILO DI TAGLIO

Il filo di taglio può essere sostituito in due

modi differenti: arrotolando un nuovo filo

sulla bobina esistente oppure installando

una nuova bobina completa.

UTILIZZAZIONE DELLA BOBINA ESISTENTE

Per utilizzare una bobina esistente si deve:

n Verificare il tipo di filo da impiegare.

n Smontare la bobina interna e la molla.

n Arrotolare il nuovo filo di taglio sulla bobi-

na.

n Rimontare la bobina interna e la molla.

FILO DI TAGLIO DA UTILIZZARE

Usare una bobina con doppio filo di taglio da

SMONTAGGIO DELLA BOBINA ESISTENTE

n Svitare in senso orario il pomolo di

bloccaggio della bobina (

FIG. 10).

n Smontare la bobina interna (

FIG. 11).

n Pulire l'interno della bobina per mezzo di

uno straccio pulito (

FIG. 12).

n Verificare il grado di usura dei denti (

FIG. 13). Se necessario sostituire le bobi-

ne.

ARROTOLAMENTO DEL FILO

n Inserire le estremità del filo nuovo nei fori

della bobina interna (

FIG. 14).

n Fare un'asola in modo da ottenere due

spezzoni di pari lunghezza prima di inseri-

re il filo nei fori della bobina.

n Arrotolare il filo attorno alla bobina dispo-

nendo le spire nel senso indicato, in modo

regoolare ed a stretto contatto reciproco

(

FIG. 15).

n Mettere le estremità del filo nell'intaglio

(

FIG. 16).

RIMONTAGGIO DELLA BOBINA

n Inserire le estremità del filo nell'occhiello

della bobina (

FIG. 17).

n Afferrare le estremità e tirare decisamen-

te per estrarre il filo dall'intaglio della bobi-

na.

n Riavvitare in senso antiorario il pomolo di

bloccaggio della bobina (

FIG. 10).

La sostituzione del filo può dirsi conclusa.

MONTAGGIO DI UNA NUOVA BOBINA

n Procedere come per la bobina esistente

per quanto concerne:

n Filo di taglio da impiegare;

n Smontaggio della bobina esistente;

n Rimontaggio della bobina.

PULIZIA / RIMESSAGGIO

n Non ostruire i filtri dell'aria.

n Non utilizzare dei detergenti potenti né sui

rivestimenti plastici né sull'impugnatura.

n L'umidità può provocare dei cortocircuiti.

Asciugare bene l'apparecchio con uno

straccio morbido.

n Pulire accuratamente l'apparecchio prima

del rimessaggio. Metterlo sul suo suppor-

to che deve essere disposto in luogo

secco ed aerato, fuori dalla portata dei

bambini.
