/ ABS 3a WH und muss am Einsatzort verfügbar sein. Wird das Gerät wieder verkauft,
muss diese Gebrauchsanleitung in Landessprache beigefügt sein.
This user manual and the operating instructions are part of the descender devices for
rescue type ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH and have to be available at the site of operation.
In case the device will be resold, the operating instructions have to be available in the
respectively applicable national language.

dem Gerät verwendet werden! Werden Seile anderer Hersteller oder Seile anderer Hersteller mit vergleichbaren technischen Daten verwendet, besteht
Lebensgefahr durch versagen der Seile.
HINWEIS: Die Produkthaftung des Herstellers erstreckt sich nicht auf Sach- oder Körperschäden, die auch bei ordnungsgemäßer Funktion
und sachgemäßer Anwendung von Persönlicher Schutzausrüstung gegen Absturz auftreten können. Bei Veränderungen der Ausrüstung sowie
Nichtbeachtung dieser Anleitung oder der gültigen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften entfällt die erweiterte Produkthaftung des Herstellers.
ATTENTION: The rope and the device have been tested and approved as a unit. For this reason, only KMS 10.5-type IKAR kernmantle rope may be
used with the device! Any use of rope s made by other manufacturers or by other manufacturers with similar specications poses a risk of death due to
rope failure.
NOTE: The manufacturer‘s product liability does not apply to damage to prope rty or personal injury, which can occur even at prope r function and prope r
use of personal protective equipment against falls. With changes in the equipment and non-compliance with these instructions or the applicable accident
prevention regulations eliminates the extended product liability of the manufacturer.
ATENCIÓN: El cable y el dispositivo se han revisado y aprobado como una unidad. Por este motivo, solo puede utilizarse el cable con revestimiento
central IKAR modelo KMS 10,5 con el dispositivo. Si se utilizan cables de otros fabricantes o cables de otros fabricantes con datos técnicos similares,
existe peligro de muerte por fallos en los cables.
NOTA: La responsabilidad del fabricante por el producto no se extiende a los daños materiales o corporales que pueden producirse incluso si el
dispositivo funciona correctamente y se utilizan de forma adecuada los equipos de protección personal contra caídas. En caso de que se realicen
modicaciones en el equipo o que no se sigan estas instrucciones o las disposiciones de prevención de accidentes vigentes, se extinguirá la
responsabilidad ampliada del fabricante por el producto.
ATTENTION: La corde et le dispositif sont contrôlés et homologués comme ne formant qu‘une seule et même unité. Par conséquent, le dispositif doit être
utilisé avec une corde tressée IKAR modèle KMS 10,5 exclusivement. L‘utilisation de cordes d‘autres fabricants, qu‘elles présentent des caractéristiques
techniques similaires ou non, peut entraîner un risque mortel en cas de dysfonctionnement de celles-ci.
REMARQUE: La responsabilité du fait des produits du fabricant ne s‘étend pas aux dommages matériels ou physiques qui peuvent survenir même si
le dispositif fonctionne correctement et que les utilisateurs sont équipés d‘un dispositif de protection individuelle antichute. En cas de modication de
l‘équipement ou de non respect de la présente notice ou des prescriptions de prévention des accidents en vigueur, la responsabilité du fait des produits
étendue du fabricant ne s‘applique pas.
ATTENZIONE: La corda ed il dispositivo sono stati collaudati come unità ed omologati. Per questo motivo, solo la corda alla virola del nocciolo IKAR di
tipo KMS 10,5 può essere impiegata con il dispositivo! Se vengono usate corde diverse o di altri costruttori con dati tecnici comparabili, vi è pericolo di
morte per il cedimento della corda.
AVVISO: La responsabilità del costruttore per il prodotto non copre i danni a persone o cose che potrebbero vericarsi anche con un funzionamento
regolare ed un utilizzo di adeguati dispositivi di protezione anticaduta. La modica dell‘attrezzatura o il mancato rispetto delle presenti istruzioni o delle
norme antinfortunio vigenti vanica la responsabilità per il prodotto del costruttore.
ATENÇÃO: O cabo e o equipamento devem ser testados e aprovados como unidade única. Deste modo, o cabo entrançado IKAR tipo KMS 10,5 apenas
pode ser utilizado em conjunto com o equipamento! Se forem utilizados cabos de outro fabricante ou cabos de outros fabricantes com dados técnicos
semelhantes, poderá existir perigo de vida devido a falha nos arneses.
NOTAS: A responsabilidade pelos produtos por parte do fabricante aplica-se tanto a danos não corporais como corporais que possam ser originados
inclusive com um funcionamento ou utilização adequados dos equipamentos de proteção pessoal contra quedas. As alterações introduzidas no
equipamento bem como a não observância destas instruções ou requisitos de proteção contra acidentes anula a responsabilidade alargada do produto
por parte do fabricantes.
LET OP: de lijn en het apparaat zijn als eenheid getest en goedgekeurd. Daarom mag uitsluitend de IKAR-kernmantellijn type KMS 10,5 samen met het
ap^paraat worden gebruikt! Gebruik van lijnen van andere fabrikanten, of lijnen van andere fabrikanten met vergelijkbare technische gegevens, kan lijden
tot levensgevaarlijke situaties doordat de lijnen niet naar behoren functioneren.
LET OP: De productaansprakelijkheid van de fabrikant omvat geen materiële schade of persoonlijk letsel, die ook bij een juiste werking en deskundig
gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsuitrusting tegen vallen kunnen optreden.
Bij veranderingen aan de uitrusting en het niet opvolgen van deze handleiding of de geldende ongevalpreventievoorschriften vervalt de uitgebreide
productaansprakelijkheid van de fabrikant.

ATENȚIE: cablul și echipamentul sunt testate și omologate împreună ca o unitate. Din acest motiv poate  utilizat cu acest echipament doar cablul IKAR
KMS10,5! În cazul în care se vor folosi cabluri ale altor producători sau cabluri ale altor producători cu date tehnice comparabile, viața utilizatorilor poate
 pusă în pericol din cauza cedării cablului.
OBSERVAȚII: Răspunderea fabricantului pentru acest produs nu include şi pagubele materiale sau vătămările corporale care pot să apară chiar și în
cazul utilizării corespunzătoare și corecte a echipamentului individual de protecție împotriva căderii. În cazul schimbării echipamentelor, precum și al
nerespectării instrucțiunilor de utilizare sau a regulamentelor de prevenire a accidentelor în vigoare, răspunderea extinsă a producătorului asupra acestui
produs își pierde valabilitatea.

BEMÆRK: Rebet og grejet er kontrolleret og godkendt som en enhed. Af denne grund må kun IKAR-kernmantelreb type KMS 10,5 anvendes sammen
med grejet! Hvis der anvendes reb fra andre producenter, eller reb fra andre producenter med sammenlignelige tekniske data, kan der være livsfare på
grund af rebsvigt.
HENVISNING: Producentens produktansvar dækker ikke ting- og personskader, der kan opstå selv ved korrekt funktion og passende anvendelse
af personligt beskyttelsesudstyr mod nedstyrtning. Ved ændringer af udstyret, samt manglende iagttagelse af denne vejledning, eller de gyldige
ulykkesforebyggelsesforeskrifter, bortfalder producentens udvidede produktansvar.

forskrifter bortfaller produsentens utvidede produktansvar.
FIGYELEM: A kötél és a készülék egységként került bevizsgálásra és engedélyeztetésre. Ebből az okból kizárólag a KMS 10,5 típusú IKAR
magköpenyes kötél használható a készülékkel! Ha más gyártók köteleit használják, akár hasonló műszaki adatokkal is, életveszély áll fenn, mivel a
kötelek nem fognak megfelelően működni.
FELHÍVÁS: A gyártó termékre vonatkozó felelőssége nem terjed ki anyagi károkra és testi sérülésekre, melyek a zuhanásvédelmi személyes
védőfelszerelések akár megfelelő működése és szakszerű használata esetén is fennállnak. A felszerelések módosítása vagy jelen útmutató gyelmen
kívül hagyása, ill. az érvényben lévő balesetvédelmi előírások megszegése a gyártói részletes termékfelelősség megszűnését vonja maga után.

typu KMS 10! Pri použití lán iných výrobcov alebo lana iných výrobcov so zrovnateľnými technickými údajmi, vzniká riziko ohrozenia života v dôsledku
zlyhania lana.
UPOZORNENIE: Záruka výrobcu za produkt sa nevzťahuje na škody na zdraví a na vecné škody, ktoré môžu vzniknúť aj pri správnej funkcii a správnom
použití osobného ochranného vybavenia proti pádu. V prípade zmien na vybavení a nedodržovania tohto návodu, alebo platných predpisov na prevenciu
úrazov odpadá rozšírená záruka výrobcu na produkt.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΉ: Το σχοινί και η διάταξη ελέγχονται και εγκρίνονται ως ενιαία μονάδα. Για τον λόγο αυτό χρησιμοποιείτε με τη διάταξη αποκλειστικά το
σχοινί kernmantel IKAR τύπου KMS 10,5! Σε περίπτωση χρήσης σχοινιών άλλων κατασκευαστών ή σχοινιών άλλων κατασκευαστών με παρόμοια
τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά, υπάρχει κίνδυνος θανάτου λόγω της ακαταλληλότητας των σχοινιών.
ΥΠΟΔΕΙΞΉ: Η ευθύνη του κατασκευαστή σχετικά με το προϊόν δεν καλύπτει υλικές ζημιές ή σωματικές βλάβες οι οποίες ενδέχεται να προκληθούν
ακόμη και με την προβλεπόμενη και ορθή χρήση του εξοπλισμού ατομικής προστασίας έναντι πτώσεων. Σε περίπτωση τροποποιήσεων του εξοπλισμού
ή μη τήρηση των οδηγιών χρήσης ή των εν ισχύι διατάξεων προστασίας έναντι ατυχημάτων ο κατασκευαστής δεν αναλαμβάνει καμία ευθύνη για το
προϊόν.

Gebrauchsanleitung für das IKAR Abseil-Rettungsgerät vom Typ
ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH
nach DIN EN 341:2011/1A / 1496:2006/A; ANSI/ASSE Z359.4-2013
Einleitung
Die IKAR Abseil-Rettungsgeräte der Typen ABS 3a W /ABS 3a WH Favorit sind Evakuierungs- bzw.
Rettungsgeräte, Bestandteile von persönlichen Absturzschutzsystemen (EN 363:2008 Rettungssysteme) und
nur zu Rettungszwecken geeignet mit denen sich eine oder mehrere Personen im Pendelverfahren von einem
höheren zu einem tieferen Ort mit einer begrenzten Geschwindigkeit abseilen können. Ist in einem Notfall vor dem
Abseilvorgang ein Anheben einer Person notwendig ist das Abseil-Rettungshubgerät ABS 3a WH zu verwenden.
Das IKAR Abseil-Rettungsgerät Typ ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH Favorit ist gemäß dieser Gebrauchsanleitung
bestimmungsgemäß zu verwenden. Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist vor der Benutzung vollständig zu lesen und
inhaltlich zu verstehen (Bild 1). Ein Rettungsplan für alle bei der Arbeit möglichen Notfälle muß vorhanden sein.
Im Geltungsbereich der ANSI/ASSE- Normung sind die geltenden Bestimmungen zur sicheren Durchführung von
Rettungen und die Normen ANSI/ASSE Z359.1 und ANSI/ASSE Z359.4 mit zu beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise
1. Bei Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanleitung besteht Lebensgefahr! Es dürfen keine Veränderungen
oder Ergänzungen am Abseilgerät vorgenommen werden. Bei dem Einsatz von persönlichen
Absturzschutzsystemen können Verletzungen der Benutzer nicht ausgeschlossen werden, jedoch die Folgen
möglicher Verletzungen gemindert werden.
2. Das Gerät darf nur von Personen bedient werden, die entsprechend ausgebildet und sicher im Umgang
mit dem Gerät sind. Gesundheitliche Beeinträchtigungen dürfen nicht vorliegen! (Alkohol-, Drogen-,
Medikamenteneinuß- oder Herz-Kreislaufprobleme)
3. Das Gerät ist nur für die Rettung von Personen zugelassen, auch ein Heben und Senken von Lasten ist nicht
zulässig (Bild 2). Die Höchstlast des Gerätes ist 140 kg, die minimale Last ist 50 kg, die maximal mögliche
Abseilhöhe ist 200 m (Bild 3).
4. Vor jeder Benutzung ist die Lesbarkeit der Produktkennzeichnung zu kontrollieren sowie eine Sicht- und
Funktionsprüfung des Abseil-Rettungsgerätes Typ ABS 3a W / 3a WH Favorit durchzuführen. Hierfür das
Gerät an einen geeigneten Punkt anschlagen und jeweils an den herauslaufenden Seilen abwechselnd
ziehen (Bild 4). Es muß sich ein spürbarer Bremswiderstand entwickeln. Die Verbindungselemente nach EN
362, ANSI/ASSE Z359.12 auf einwandfreie Funktion prüfen (selbstschliessend, verriegelbar). Alle Anbauteile
müssen festsitzen und der Drehwirbel muss sich einwandfrei drehen.
5. Vor jeder Benutzung ist das Abfahrseil in seiner gesamten Länge und im vollen Umfang auf einwandfreien
Zustand zu prüfen. Ein Gerät mit einem beschädigten Seil darf nicht eingesetzt werden (Bild 5).
Ausgenommen sind Geräte die in einem speziellen, unbeschädigten Aufbewahrungsbeutel versiegelt
(eingeschweißt) sind.
6. Bestehen Zweifel hinsichtlich des sicheren Zustandes des Gerätes, ist es der Benutzung zu entziehen und
einem Sachkundigen - vom Hersteller ausgebildet - zur Prüfung vorzulegen. Der Sachkundige entscheidet
über die weitere Benutzung.
7. Das Gerät niemals eigenmächtig öffnen oder reparieren (Bild 6). Dies dürfen nur Sachkundige - die durch den
Hersteller entsprechend ausgebildet und autorisiert sind (Punkt 6).
8. Das Gerät ist nach Bedarf, nach einer Rettungsmaßnahme, mind. jedoch alle 12 Monate durch einen
Sachkundigen (Punkt 6) zu prüfen. Dies ist im Prüfbuch zu dokumentieren! Sind Geräte speziell verpackt und
versiegelt, können gegebenenfalls die Prüffristen durch den Hersteller verlängert werden.
9. Der geprüfte Temperatureinsatz- und Lagerbereich der Geräte ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH liegt zwischen - 4
und + 50º Celsius / +122 F und +25 F (Bild 7). Bei Einsatztemperaturen unter 0° Celsius und Nässe können
Funktionsstörungen bzw. Versagen des Abseilgerätes durch Vereisung des Seiles auftreten. Trocken
gehaltene Geräte funktionieren auch bei großer Kälte bis - 40° Celsius / -40° F .
10. Es darf nur das IKAR-Kernmantelseil KMS 10,5 nach DIN EN 1891:1998 als Abfahrseil zum Einsatz kommen.
Abfahrseile erreichen Ihre Ablegereife nach max. 10 Jahren.
11. Abseilgeräte, die fest an einem Arbeitsplatz installiert sind und dort zwischen Inspektionen in Position
gelassen werden sind auf geeignete Weise gegen Umwelteinüsse zu schützen (z. B. versiegelt in
besonderen Verpackungen und wettergeschützten Behältern)
12. Das Gerät kann vertikal, horizontal oder schräg eingesetzt werden (Bild 8). Läuft hierbei das Seil über scharfe
oder raue Kanten, ist zum Schutz des Seiles ein entsprechender Kantenschutz einzusetzen.
13. Personen die längere Zeit in einem Auffanggurt hängen, können ein Hängetrauma (orthostatischer Schock)
erleiden. Ein längeres Hängen als 15 Minuten ist zu vermeiden. Rettung unverzüglich einleiten, Person nach
der Rettung nach den speziellen Regeln der „Ersten Hilfe“ lagern.
14. Für das Gerät ist ein ausreichend tragfähiger Anschlagpunkt zu wählen (Bild 9). Die Befestigung erfolgt mittels
Verbindungselement nach EN 362 / ANSI/ASSE Z359.12 und ohne das der Abseilvorgang dabei behindert
wird. Die Sicherung des Verbindungselementes ist stets zu schließen um ein unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen zu

verhindern. Im Ideal Fall sind Anschlageinrichtungen nach EN 795 / ANSI/ASSE Z359.4 ( 22,2 kN) zu
wählen. Das Gerät möglichst senkrecht, oberhalb des Benutzers anschlagen. Das Abseil-Rettungsgerät kann
zusätzlich mittels Anschlaghilfen der EN 354, EN 795 Kl. B, oder EN 358 / ANSI/ASSE Z359.4 so mit dem
Anschlagpunkt verbunden werden, das der Abseilvorgang nicht behindert wird. Die Gebrauchsanleitungen der
verwendeten Anschlaghilfen sind zusätzlich zu beachten!
15. Wird in Deutschland ein Anschlagpunkt an einer bestehenden Konstruktion gewählt, so muss dieser
mindestens einer Belastung von 9 kN stand halten, nachgewiesen durch die geltenden, technischen
Baubestimmungen.
16. Alle Personen die an der Rettungsmaßnahme beteiligt sind, müssen selbst gegen Absturz gesichert
sein und eine ständig mögliche Kommunikation (z.B. direkter oder indirekter Sicht- oder Funkkontakt)
mit der zu rettenden Person muss sichergestellt sein. Erfolgt die Absturzsicherung mit persönlichen
Absturzschutzsystemen sind die Anforderungen an die Anschlageinrichtung entsprechend den gültigen
technischen Regelwerken zu erhöhen. Im Bereich der ANSI/ASSE-Normung sind für die Absturzsicherung
die Anforderungen an den Anschlagpunkt für die Absturzsicherung gemäß ANSI/ASSE Z359.1 ( 22,2 kN) zu
erfüllen und muss von dem Anschlagpunkt der Rettungstechnik unabhängig sein.
17. Das Abseil-Rettungsgerät Typ ABS 3a W / 3a WH Favorit ist ein selbsttätig wirkendes Abseil-Rettungsgerät.
Bei dem automatischen Bremsvorgang wird durch Reibung Wärme erzeugt. Bauteile des Gerätes die beim
Abseilvorgang durch den Benutzer berührt werden müssen erwärmen sich nicht über 48° C. Andere Bauteile
werden erheblich wärmer (Bild 10). Um Verbrennungen bei Berührung zu vermeiden, ist unbedingt geeignete
Schutzkleidung zu tragen (Bild 11).
18. Ein kontrollierter Abseilvorgang ist unerlässlich, da bei Verlust der Kontrolle des Gerätes das Wiedererlangen
unter Umständen sehr schwierig ist.
19. Nicht über Gefahrstoffen, Hindernissen, Spannungsführenden Konstruktionen oder beweglichen
Maschinenteilen ohne die erforderlichen Sicherheitsabstände ein zu halten, abseilen (Bild 12).
20. Das Abfahrseil wird mittels Verbindungselement an die geeignete Öse des Gurtes der verunfallten Person
angeschlossen (Bild 13). „Schlaffseilbildung“ zwischen Person und Anschlagpunkt ist unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Es dürfen nur Auffanggurte nach EN 361 / ANSI/ASSE Z359.1 oder Rettungsgurte nach EN 1497 / ANSI/
ASSE Z359.4 verwendet werden. Die Gebrauchsanleitung des Gurtes ist zusätzlich zu beachten.
21. Wettereinüsse, z. B. starker Wind und technische Gegebenheiten sowie das Gewicht des frei hängenden,
einlaufenden Seiles, können den Abseilvorgang negativ beeinussen.
Anwendung
22. Beim ABS 3a WH: Funktionsprüfung gemäß Punkt 4 durchführen (Bild 14). Das Rettungsgerät mittels
Verbindungselement mit dem Anschlagpunkt verbinden. Das Verbindungselement des auslaufenden Seiles
wird an die Ring- oder Auffangöse des Gurtes der verunfallten Person angeschlossen. Die verunfallte Person
mit Hilfe der Hubfunktion heben bis die Absturzsicherung entlastet ist. Hierzu die Rücklaufsperre mit Hilfe
des Schaltbolzens in Richtung „Heben“ einschalten. Danach wird die verunfallte Person durch drehen am
Handrad in Richtung Heben angehoben, bis die Absturzsicherung entlastet ist. Die Hubnennlast ist 140 kg, die
Minimallast 50 kg, die maximale Hubhöhe 75 m. Die Absturzsicherung vom Verunfallten lösen und wie folgt
mit dem Abseilvorgang beginnen: Am Handrad in Richtung ”Heben” drehen, bis die Rücklaufsperre entlastet
ist. Das Handrad festhalten. Schaltbolzen in Stellung “Freilauf” drücken. Nun den Abseilvorgang langsam
beginnen. Das Gerät kann wahlweise durch Handanlegen am Handrad oder durch festhalten am aufwärts
laufenden Seil zusätzlich abgebremst werden. Zusätzliche Haltekraft bei der Abseilung kann durch die
Umlenkung des aufwärts laufenden Seiles über die Haken und der Seilführung des Abseil-Rettungs-gerätes
erreicht werden. Die Abseilstrecke muss frei von Hindernissen sein. Das Seil muss einwandfrei ins Abseilgerät
einlaufen.
23. Evakuierungsmaßnahme einer Person mit dem ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH: Funktionsprüfung gemäß Punkt
4 durchführen. Der Benutzer schlägt das Verbindungselement des auslaufenden Seiles möglichst senkrecht
über Kopf an einen geeigneten Anschlagpunkt an. Das Verbindungselement des Abseilgerätes wird an die
Ring- oder
Auffangöse des Gurtes (Gebrauchsanleitung des Gurtes beachten) angeschlossen (Bild 15). Seil straff ziehen,
Seilbeutel herunterwerfen (keine Personen dabei gefährden) oder am Gurt mitführen.
Einlaufendes Seil über den Umlenkpunkt legen und festhalten. Darauf achten das alle Verbindungselemente
verriegelt sind. Der Benutzer begibt sich in die Abseilposition. Jetzt die Absturzsicherung aushängen und den
Abseilvorgang langsam beginnen (Hand öffnen, bis das Seil anfängt zu rutschen).
Achtung: Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr, geeignete Schutzhandschuhe tragen!). Darauf achten, dass
das Seil aus dem Beutel einwandfrei ins Gerät einläuft. Hand vollständig öffnen und das Gerät bremst
selbstständig. Die Abseilgeschwindigkeit beträgt ca. 1,5 m/s.
24. Evakuierungsmaßnahme mehrerer Personen mit dem ABS 3a W / ABS 3a WH: Funktionsprüfung
gemäß Punkt 4 durchführen. Das Gerät möglichst senkrecht über dem Benutzer anschlagen, das
Verbindungselement des auslaufenden Seiles an die Ring- oder Auffangöse des Gurtes (Gebrauchsanleitung
des Gurtes beachten) anschließen. Seil straff ziehen, Seilbeutel herunterwerfen (keine Personen dabei
gefährden) oder gesichert abstellen. Darauf achten, dass das Seil einwandfrei ins Gerät einläuft. Hat die
