Intended use

These kitchen scales are intended for use in weighing

non-caustic, unaggressive and non-abrasive liquids

(especially water and milk) and solid materials in

domestic households. The weighing of medications

and non-permitted materials is considered to be

improper use.



Injury hazard

• This appliance is not intended for use by indivi-

duals (including children) with restricted physical,

physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences

in experience and/or knowledge unless they are

supervised by a person responsible for their safety

or receive from this person instruction in how the

appliance is to be used.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that

they do not play with the appliance.



Attention!

Observe the following safety notices exactly. Failure

to comply with them could damage the scales and

possibly nullify your claims under the warranty

provisions.

• Ensure that the batteries are inserted with the

correct polarity and do not apply excessive

force when inserting them.

• Never place more than 4 kg on the scale.

• Ensure that no fluids can permeate the scale.

• Avoid contact with solvents and with corrosive

or abrasive cleaning materials.

• Do not subject the scale to high temperatures

or powerful magnetic fields.

• Avoid electrostatic charging and discharging.

These can cause erroneous displays and/or the

sudden deactivation of the scales.

 Information regarding the handling

of batteries

This appliance uses batteries. When interacting with

batteries, please observe the following:



Risk of explosion!

• Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge

the batteries.

• Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries.

The risk of explosions and injuries exists!

• Regularly check the condition of the batteries.

Leaking batteries can cause damage to the

appliance.

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for

an extended period, remove the batteries.

• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, put on

a pair of protective gloves. Clean the battery

compartment and the battery contacts with a dry

cloth.

Injury hazard

• Keep batteries away from children. Children can

put batteries into their mouths and swallow them.

If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance

must be sought immediately.

• Should a battery leak, avoid making contact to

the leakage with your skin, eyes and mucous

membranes. If contact is made with the battery

acids, rinse the affected area with copious

amounts of water and then consult a doctor.

Commissioning

➩ Open the battery compartment

at the rear of

the operating panel.

➩ Remove the protection strip from the battery

compartment

➩ Close the battery compartment cover, until it locks

in place.

The scale is now in clock mode and ready for use.

Setting the time

On commissioning and on a change of batteries the

time must be set resp. adjusted.

➩ As soon as the batteries have been inserted the

hour indicator blinks. Press either the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button repeatedly to adjust

and set the hour indicator.

➩ Press the T-SET button

to switch over to the

minute indicator.

➩ Press either the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button

repeatedly to adjust and set the minute indicator.

➩ Press the T-SET button

The time display is now programmed.

If you need to re-adjust the time display (e.g. for

Summer/Winter Time) press and hold the T-Set

button

until the hour indicator blinks. Then proceed

as described above.

Wall mounting

➩ Find a suitable position for the wall assembly.

There must be sufficient space to fold down the

glass plate

. Bear in mind that the bowl

may also have to be placed on the glass plate



Attention!

Check to ensure that there are no power cables

located in the wall. Should you bore into a power

cable with the drill, you may receive a potentially

fatal electric shock!

Do not drill into areas where electric cables and

gas or water conduits are, or may be, located!

➩ Using a 6mm drill, bore two holes with a horizontal

spacing of ca. 88 mm into a vertical wall.

➩ Insert the plugs into the holes and then screw in

the screws until the screwheads project by about

3 - 4 mm.

➩ Place the scales onto the screw heads using the

mounting

intended for this purpose.

Operation

Setting the units of measurement

You can choose between the metric and the Anglo-

American (Imperial) system. From 0 g - 999 g the

unit is indicated in g/oz and from 999 g in kg/lb

and g/oz.

Additionally, you can weigh liquids.

In the metric system:

• Milliliter (ml) water

• Milliliter (ml) milk.

In the Anglo-American system:

• Fluid ounces (fl´oz) water

• Fluid ounces (fl´oz) milk.

➩ Press the ON/OFF

button. The scale is now

in the weighing mode. The programmed adjustment

appears under or to the right of the weight

indication in the display

➩ To switch between the metric and Anglo-American

systems, press the UNIT

button until the

measurement unit details change.

➩ To switch within a measurement system,

g/kg - ml water - ml milk

oz/lb:oz - fl´oz water - fl´oz milk

briefly press the UNIT

button until the desired

measurement unit appears in the display

Weighing

➩ Press the ON/OFF

button to switch the scales

on (weighing mode).

➩ Fold the glass plate

down.

➩ Programme in the desired measurement unit (see

chapter "Setting the units of measurement").

The scales indicate a weight of "0". "O" is shown in

the display

and on the left.

➩ Place the bowl

, or another suitable receptacle,

onto the scales and then press the button Z/T

The scales once again shows "0", it does not take

account of the weight of the receptacle.

In the display

appears "TARE".

➩ Place the item(s) to be weighed in the receptacle.

Adding & Weighing (Tare Function)

You can repeatedly set the scale back to "0" in order

to weigh additional partial quantities.

➩ To do this, press the Z/T

button once again.

In the display

"TARE" appears on the left.

The scales indicate a weight of "0" again.

➩ Place the additional item(s) to be weighed in the

receptacle.

In the display

the weight of the newly inserted

item(s) is indicated.

 You can repeat this procedure several times.

However, never place more than 4 kg on the

scale.

On removal of the receptacle and ingredients from

the scales, and on pressing the button Z/T

"O" is once again indicated in the left of the

display

Removing Weighed Items

➩ Press the Z/T button

once. "TARE" is shown in

the display

and on the left.

The scales indicate a weight of "0" again.

➩ Remove the desired amount of material.

The weight of the removed ingredients appears in

the display

as a negative value.

 You can repeat this procedure several times.

On removal of the receptacle and ingredients from

the scales, and on pressing the button Z/T

"O" is once again indicated in the left of the

display

Setting the Timer

The timer can be used in both a clock and a weighing

mode.

Der Timer enables you to set the clock for a specific

period of time, at the end of which a signal tone sounds.

The preset time runs as in a countdown.

➩ Press the T-SET button

once. In the display

the bell symbol appears in the above-left.

 You can adjust the time accurately to the second.

If you hold down the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

buttons, the time-indicators run through faster.

➩ Using the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button,

programme in the desired ten-minute setting.

➩ Press the T-SET button

once. Using the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button, programme in the des-

ired one-minute setting.

➩ Press the T-SET button

once. Using the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button, programme in the des-

ired ten-second setting.

➩ Press the T-SET button

once. Using the ▲ Z/T

or the ▼ UNIT

button, programme in the desired

one-second setting.

➩ Press the T-SET button

to start the countdown.

You can reset the timer.

➩ Press the T-SET button

to re-set the timer.

As soon as the programmed time has expired, an

acoustic signal sounds. This signal can be switched

off by pressing on any button.

Temperature Display

When the scale is switched on, the display

shows the temperature in °C at the top right.

Switching the weighing function off

If you do not weigh anything for ca. 2 minutes the

scale automatically switches into the clock mode.

➩ To manually switch over to the clock mode, press

the button ON/OFF

➩ When you no longer require the scales, fold the

glass plate

back upwards.

Troubleshooting

➩ If the display

indicates "Err", the scale is over-

burdened. Remove material from the scale.

Never place more than 4 kg on the scale.

➩ If the display

briefly indicates "Err" and the

weighing mode cannot be switched on, the scale

is overburdened. Remove material from the scale

and then switch the scale back on again.

Place less than 4 kg on the scale.

➩ If the display

indicates "Lo", the batteries are

depleted. Replace the batteries.

 The indicator "Lo" only appears in the weighing

mode.

➩ If „- - - -“ appears in the display

, wait a few

seconds.

➩ If your scale does not function as expected, replace

the batteries. Should the malfunction not be

eliminated with these steps please make contact

with our Service Centre (see "Warranty and

Service“).

Changing the batteries



Warning!

Pay attention to the correct polarity when exchanging

batteries. An incorrect battery exchange could lead

to the risk of an explosion.

Only exchange batteries for identical or equivalent

types. Should the batteries leak, put on protective

gloves and then clean the battery compartment

with a dry cloth.



Poison Hazard!

Batteries can be swallowed by children and cause

impairment of health. Keep batteries out of the reach

of children.

➩ To exchange the batteries, open the battery com-

partment

➩ Press the metal loop on the battery retainer out-

wards so that the batteries are released.

➩ Remove the old batteries and replace them with

new ones. Take note of the correct polarity:

The side of the battery marked with a "+" must

show to the top.

Cleaning



Attention!

Ensure that no fluids can enter the scale.

Permeating liquids can damage the scale.

Wipe the scale with a soft cloth moistened with mild

soap suds. Do not use abrasive or solvent cleaners.

Clean the display

only with a lightly moistened

cloth and then wipe it dry with a lint-free towel.

Wash the bowl

in a mild soapy water and then

rinse it well with clear water.

Dry all of the components well before re-using them.

Disposal

Do not, under any circumstances, dispose

of the appliance with household refuse.

This product is subject to the provisions

of European Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal

centre or at your community waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal

centre.

Disposing of the batteries

Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.

Therefore always remove the batteries/cells from the

appliances before disposing of them. Every consumer

is statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at a col-

lection site of his community/city district or at a retail

store.

This obligation is intended to ensure that batteries

are disposed of in an environmentally safe fashion.

Only dispose of batteries when they are fully dis-

charged.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an

environmentally friendly manner.

date of purchase. The appliance has been manufac-

tured with care and meticulously examined before

delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.

In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact

by telephone with our service department. Only in

this way can a post-free despatch for your goods

be assured.

The warranty covers replacements for material or

manufacturing faults only, not for normal wearing

parts or damage to fragile parts. The appliance is

intended for domestic use only, not for commercial

purposes.

If this product has been subjected to improper or

inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifications not

carried out by one of our authorised sales and service

outlets, the warranty will be considered void.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way

by this warranty.

Käyttötarkoitus

Keittiövaaka on tarkoitettu muiden kuin syövyttävien,

aggressiivisien tai hankaavien nesteiden (erityisesti veden

ja maidon) ja kiinteiden aineiden punnitsemiseen

yksityistalouksissa. Lääkeaineiden ja ei-sallittujen

aineiden punnitseminen ei ole määräystenmukaista.

Punnitusalue: 1 g - 4000 g, 1 gramman välein

Lämpötilannäyttö: 0 °C - ...40 °C, 0,5 °C:n välein;

± 2 °C:n toleranssilla

Ohje paristojen käsittelyyn

Laitteessa käytetään paristoja. Huomaa paristojen

käsittelyssä seuraavaa:



Räjähdysvaara!

• Älä heitä paristoja tuleen. Älä lataa paristoja

uudelleen.

• Älä koskaan avaa paristoja, älä koskaan juota

tai hitsaa paristoja. On olemassa räjähdyksen

ja loukkaantumisen vaara!

• Tarkasta paristot säännöllisesti. Vuotavat paristot

saattavat aiheuttaa laitevaurioita.

• Jos et käytä laitetta pidempään, poista paristot.

• Käytä suojakäsineitä paristojen vuotaessa. Puhdista

paristokotelo ja paristoliitännät kuivalla liinalla.

Loukkaantumisvaara

• Paristoja ei saa jättää lasten käsiin. Lapset saattavat

pistää paristot suuhunsa ja niellä ne. Jos paristo

on joutunut nieluun, on hakeuduttava välittömästi

lääkärin hoitoon.

• Jos paristot ovat vuotaneet, on vältettävä kosketusta

ihoon, silmiin ja limakalvoihin. Jos joudut koske-

tuksiin paristohapon kanssa, huuhtele kyseinen

kohta runsaalla vedellä ja hakeudu lääkärin

hoitoon.

Käyttöönotto

➩ Avaa käyttöpaneelin takana sijaitseva paris-

tokotelo

➩ Poista muovinen suojaliuska paristokotelosta

➩ Sulje paristokotelon kansi, kunnes se lukittuu.

Vaaka on nyt kellotilassa ja se on käyttövalmis.

Kellonajan asettaminen

Kellonaika on asetettava ensimmäisellä käyttöönot-

tokerralla tai paristojen vaihtamisen jälkeen.

➩ Heti kun paristot asetetaan paikoilleen, tuntinäyttö

vilkkuu. Paina painiketta ▲ Z/T

tai ▼UNIT

niin monta kertaa, että tunnit on asetettu.

➩ Vaihda minuuttinäyttöön painamalla painiketta

T-SET

➩ Paina painiketta ▲ Z/T

tai painiketta ▼ UNIT

niin monta kertaa, että minuutit on asetettu.

➩ Paina painiketta T-SET

Kellonaika on nyt asetettu.

Jos haluat muuttaa kellonaikaa myöhemmin, paina

kellotilassa painiketta T-SET

ja pidä sitä painettuna,

kunnes tuntinäyttö vilkkuu. Toimi edellä kuvatulla tavalla.

Seinäasennus

➩ Etsi seinäasennukselle soveltuva paikka.

Lasilautasella

on oltava riittävästi tilaa alas

kääntämistä varten. Huomioi, että myös kulho

saatetaan vielä asettaa lasilautaselle



Huomaa!

Varmistu siitä, ettei seinässä kulje sähköjohtoja.

Jos osut poralla sähköjohtoon, seurauksena voi olla

sähköiskun aiheuttama hengenvaara!

Älä poraa alueilla, joilla kulkee sähköjohtoja, kaasu- tai

vesiputkia!

➩ Poraa 6 mm:n poralla kaksi reikää pystysuoraan

seinään n. 88 mm:n vaakasuoralle etäisyydelle.

➩ Aseta tulpat reikiin ja ruuvaa ruuveja sisään niin,

että näkyviin jää n. 3 - 4 mm.

➩ Aseta vaaka siihen tarkoitetuista pidikkeistä

ruuvinkantoihin.

Käyttö

Mittayksikön asettaminen

Voit valita metrijärjestelmän ja angloamerikkalaisen

järjestelmän välillä. Välillä 0 g - 999 g yksikkönä on

g/oz ja 999 g:sta lähtien kg/lb ja g/oz.

Lisäksi voit punnita nesteitä.

Metrijärjestelmässä:

• millilitroja (ml) vettä (Water)

• millilitroja (ml) maitoa (Milk).

Angloamerikkalaisessa järjestelmässä:

• nesteunsseja (fl´oz) vettä (Water)

• nesteunsseja (fl´oz) maitoa (Milk).

➩ Paina painiketta ON/OFF

. Vaaka on nyt

punnitustilassa. Asetettu yksikkö näkyy näytössä

alhaalla tai oikealla painotiedon vieressä.

➩ Metrijärjestelmän ja anglosaksisen järjestelmän

välillä voit valita painamalla painiketta UNIT

ja pitämällä sitä painettuna niin kauan, että

mittayksikkö vaihtuu.

➩ Vaihda mittajärjestelmän sisällä välillä

g/kg - ml Water - ml Milk

tai

oz/lb:oz - fl´oz Water - fl´oz Milk

painamalla lyhyesti painiketta UNIT

, kunnes haluttu

mittayksikkö näkyy näytössä

Punnitseminen

➩ Kytke vaaka päälle (punnitustila) painamalla

painiketta ON/OFF

➩ Käännä lasilautanen

alas.

➩ Aseta haluamasi mittayksikkö (katso luku

"Mittayksikön asettaminen").

Vaaka näyttää painoa "0". Vasemmalla näytössä

näkyy "O".

➩ Aseta kulho

tai muu sopiva astia vaa'alle ja

paina painiketta Z/T

. Vaaka näyttää jälleen

painoa "0", eikä punnitse astian painoa mukaan.

Näytössä

näkyy "TARE" (taara).

➩ Täytä punnittava tuote astiaan.

Punnitustuotteen punnitseminen

(taaraustoiminto)

Punnitaksesi lisää muita osamääriä voit asettaa

vaa'an arvoon "0".

➩ Paina sitä varten kerran painiketta Z/T

Vaaka näyttää jälleen "0" grammaa.

➩ Täytä punnittava osamäärä astiaan.

Näytössä

näytetään lisätyn punnittavan tuotteen

paino.

 Tämä vaihe voidaan toistaa useita kertoja.

Älä laita kuitenkaan koskaan vaakaan enempää

kuin 4 kg.

Kun otat koko punnitun tuotteen vaa'alta ja painat

painiketta Z/T

, näytössä

näkyy vasemmalla

"O".

Punnitustuotteen poistaminen

➩ Paina kerran painiketta Z/T

Vasemmalla näytössä

näkyy "TARE".

Vaaka näyttää jälleen "0" grammaa.

➩ Ota haluttu määrä punnittavaa ainetta.

Otetun punnittavan aineen paino näkyy näytössä

negatiivisena arvona.

 Tämä vaihe voidaan toistaa useita kertoja.

Kun otat koko punnitun tuotteen vaa'alta ja painat

painiketta Z/T

, näytössä

näkyy vasemmalla

"O".

Ajastimen asetus

Ajastinta voidaan käyttää kellotilassa sekä punnitus-

tilassa.

Ajastin mahdollistaa aikavälin asettamisen, jonka

jälkeen kuuluu merkkiääni. Säädetty aika kulkee

lähtölaskennan tavoin alaspäin.

näkyy nyt kellosymboli ylävasemmalla.

 Voit asettaa ajan sekunnin tarkkuudella.

painettuna, numerot vaihtuvat nopeammin.

Voit palauttaa ajastimen alkutilaan.

Kun asetettu aika on kulunut, kuuluu merkkiääni.

Tämä merkkiääni voidaan sammuttaa painamalla

mitä tahansa painiketta.

Lämpötilanäyttö

Kun vaaka kytketään päälle, se näyttää lämpötilan

(°C) näytössä

yläoikealla.

Punnitustoiminnon sammuttaminen

Jos et punnitse mitään n. 2 minuuttiin, sammutustoiminto

kytkeytyy kellotilaan.

➩ Kellotilaan voit vaihtaa käsin painamalla painiketta

ON/OFF

➩ Kun et enää tarvitse vaakaa, käännä lasilautanen

ylös.

Toimintahäiriöiden korjaaminen

➩ Jos näytössä

näkyy "Err", vaaka on ylikuor-

mitettu. Poista punnittava aine. Älä milloinkaan

laita vaa'alle enempää kuin 4 kg.

➩ Jos näytössä

näkyy lyhyesti "Err" ja punnitustilaa

ei voida kytketä päälle, vaaka on ylikuormitettu.

Poista punnittava aine vaa'asta ja kytke punnitustila

uudelleen päälle. Laita vaa'alle vähemmän kuin

4 kg.

➩ Kun näytössä

näkyy "Lo", paristot ovat tyhjät.

Vaihda paristot uusiin.

 Näyttö "Lo" näkyy vain punnitustilassa.

➩ Jos näytössä

näkyy "- - - -", odota muutamia

sekunteja.

➩ Jos vaaka ei toimi odotetulla tavalla, vaihda

paristot uusiin. Jos vikatoimintoa ei saada näin

korjatuksi, käänny huollon puoleen (katso "Takuu

ja huolto").

Paristojen vaihtaminen



Varoitus!

Huomaa paristoja vaihtaessasi niiden oikea napaisuus.

Asiattomassa paristojen vaihdossa on olemassa

räjähdysvaara.

Vaihda paristot ainoastaan samanlaiseen tai saman-

arvoiseen paristotyyppiin. Jos paristot vuotavat, käytä

suojakäsineitä ja puhdista paristokotelo

kuivalla

liinalla.



Myrkytysvaara!

Lapset saattavat nielaista paristot, jotka aiheuttavat

terveyshaittoja. Säilytä paristot lasten saavuttamatto-

missa.

➩ Avaa paristokotelo

paristojen vaihtamista varten.

➩ Paina paristopidikkeen metallikielekettä ulospäin,

niin paristo ponnahtaa ulos.

➩ Poista paristo ja aseta uusi paikoilleen. Noudata

oikeaa napaisuutta: Pariston "+"-merkityn puolen

on osoitettava ylöspäin.

Puhdistus



Huomaa!

Varmista, ettei vaakaan pääse nesteitä.

Sisääntunkeutuvat nesteet voivat vahingoittaa vaakaa.

Pyyhi vaaka kevyesti miedolla saippualiuoksella

kostutetulla liinalla. Älä käytä hankaus- tai liuotinaineita.

Puhdista näyttö

ainoastaan kevyesti kostutetulla

liinalla ja pyyhi se kuivaksi nukkaamattomalla liinalla.

Pese kulho

miedossa saippualiuoksessa ja huuhtele

se puhtaalla vedellä.

Kuivaa kaikki osat hyvin, ennen kuin käytät niitä

uudelleen.

Hävittäminen

Älä hävitä laitetta tavallisen talousjätteen

mukana. Tämä tuote on eurooppalaisen

direktiivin 2002/96/EC mukainen.

Hävitä laite hyväksytyn jätteenhuoltoyrityksen tai

kunnallisen jätehuollon kautta.

Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä.

Ota epävarmoissa tapauksissa yhteyttä jätelaitokseesi.

Paristojen hävittäminen

Paristoja ei saa hävittää talousjätteiden mukana.

Poista paristot/akut siksi laitteista aina ennen laitteiden

hävittämistä. Jokaisella käyttäjällä on lakisääteinen

velvollisuus luovuttaa paristot/akut kuntansa/

kaupunginosansa tai kaupan keräilypisteeseen.

Tämän tarkoituksena on varmistaa, että paristojen

hävittämisestä ei aiheudu vaaraa ympäristölle.

Palauta paristot/akut ainoastaan purkautuneina.

Hävitä kaikki pakkausmateriaalit ympäris-

töystävällisellä tavalla.

toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi ostosta. Ota

takuutapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä lähimpään

huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voidaan taata tuotteesi

maksuton lähettäminen huoltoon.

Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- tai valmistusvirheitä,

ei kuitenkaan kuluvia osia tai herkkien osien vaurioita.

Handskas med batterier

Den här apparaten använder batterier. Tänk på följande

när du handskas med batterier:



Explosionsrisk

• Kasta aldrig batterier i en eld. Ladda aldrig upp

batterier (som inte är uppladdningsbara).

• Öppna, löd eller svetsa aldrig batterier. Då finns

risk för explosion och personskador!

• Kontrollera batterierna regelbundet. Läckande

batterier kan skada apparaten.

• Ta ut batterierna om du inte ska använda apparaten

under en längre tid.

• Om batterierna läcker ska du ta på dig skydds-

handskar innan du tar ut dem. Rengör batterifacket

och batterikontakterna med en torr trasa.



Risk för personskador

• Små barn får inte handskas med batterier. De kan

stoppa dem i munnen och svälja dem. Om någon

råkar svälja ett batteri måste man genast söka

medicinsk vård.

• Om batterierna läcker ska man undvika all kontakt

med hud, ögon och slemhinnor. Om du kommer

i kontakt med batterisyra ska du spola det utsatta

stället i rikligt med vatten och uppsöka en läkare.
