We congratulate you on the purchase of

your new product. You have chosen a high

quality product. The instructions for use are

part of the product. They contain important informa-

tion concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using

the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the

safety information and instructions for use. Only use

the product as described and for the speciﬁed appli-

cations. If you pass the product on to anyone else,

please ensure that you also pass on all the documen-

tation with it.

Proper use

This product is designed to weigh out and tare quanti-

ties of food. The product is designed only for use in

private household and must not be used in medicinal

or commercial areas. The manufacturer is not liable to

damage caused by improper use.

components. This means that if it is

and microwaves. If the display in-

dicates a problem, move such ob-

jects away from it.

Electromagnetic interference / high-

frequency emissions can lead to

the product failing. In cases of the

product failing to work, remove the

battery for a short while and then

replace it. Do this as described in

the “Replacing the battery“ section.

Protect the product from electrostatic

harge / discharge. This could hinde

the internal data exchange, which

causes errors in the LC display

Avoid extreme environmental con-

ditions and temperatures, which

ble batteries, e.g. radiators / direct

If batteries / rechargeable batteries

have leaked, avoid contact with

skin, eyes and mucous membranes

with the chemicals! Flush immedi-

ately the aﬀected areas with fresh

water and seek medical attention!

Remove all packaging materials from the product.

Turn the product over and place it on a soft under-

lay to avoid scratching the surface. Loosen the

screw

located at the cover of the battery com-

partment

on the back of the product.

Open the cover of the battery compartment

on the back of the product.

Pull out the insulation strip from the battery

compartment

Close the cover of the battery compartment

and tighten the screw

Replacing the battery (Fig. C)

Turn the product over and place it on a soft underlay

to avoid scratching the surface. Loosen the screw

located at the cover of the battery compartment

on the back of the product.

Open the cover of the battery compartment

on the back of the product.

Remove the used battery, if present.

Insert a battery type CR2032 in the battery

compartment

Note: Make sure you insert the batteries with the

correct polarity. This is indicated on the cover of

the battery compartment

Close the cover of the battery compartment

and tighten the screw

Operation

Set the product on a solid, level and ﬂat surface to

weigh.

Weighing

Note: Always place the object you wish to weigh

gently onto the weighing surface

to avoid damag-

ing the glass surface.

To activate the product, you may directly put a

load (e.g. food container) with minimum 250 g

onto the weighing surface

. Pressing onto the

weighing surface

with a certain force is also

press the button TARE

at any time to set the

zero point.

Place the item you wish to weigh onto the product.

The numerical display

will show the weight of

the item you are weighing.

Incremental weighing

Touching the button TARE

with the product on

will change the numerical display

from the

reading to “0“. The “T“ symbol

will appear.

Note: A slight touch of the button TARE

and the

button UNIT

is suﬃcient to operate the product.

If there is too much pressure, the product may

cause tilting.

Now add another item to weigh onto the product.

The numerical display

will show the weight of

the newly added item.

If you remove the item added to the product, the

numerical display

will again read “0“.

If you remove all items from the product, the LC

display

will show a negative value indicated

by the minus symbol

Then brieﬂy touch the button TARE

, and the “T“

symbol

will disappear.

Important! Be sure never to add more than 5 kg

to the weighing surface

. Overloading the product

can damage it.

Changing the measuring unit

The product will display the weight in the oﬃcial Euro-

pean measuring unit “g“ (grams), as well as the tradi-

tional unit of weight “oz“ (ounce, 1 oz ≈ 28.35 g) or

“lb’oz“ (pound: ounce, 1lb = 16 oz ≈ 453.59 g).

When measuring the volume of water, the product

calculates it by the weight using the oﬃcial European

unit of volume “ml“ (millilitres) or the traditional unit of

measure ﬂ’oz (ﬂuid ounces, 1ﬂ’oz ≈ 28.41 ml).

To switch the unit of measure, brieﬂy touch the UNIT

button

. After each time it is touched, the unit

display

will switch to the next unit listed:

g → oz → lb’oz → ml → ﬂ’oz

Holding the button TARE

for approx. 3 seconds

will oﬀ the product. If no movement is detected on

the weighing surface

for 3 minute and no but-

ton is pressed, the product will automatically

switch oﬀ.

Electrostatic discharges can lead to malfunctions. In

cases of the product failing to work, remove the

batteries for a short while and then replace them.

Cleaning and care

Never immerse the product in water or other

liquids. This can damage the product.

Clean the product with a slightly dampened, ﬂuﬀ-

free cloth. To remove more stubborn dirt, you can

also dampen the cloth with a weak soap solution.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials,

which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging

materials for waste separation, which are

marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers

(b) with following meaning: 1–7: plas-

tics / 20–22: paper and ﬁbreboard /

80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are

recyclable, dispose of it separately for bet-

ter waste treatment. The Triman logo is

valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority

for more details of how to dispose of your

worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please

dispose of the product properly when it has

reached the end of its useful life and not in

the household waste. Information on

collection points and their opening hours

can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must

be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/

EC and its amendments. Please return the batter-

ies / rechargeable batteries and / or the product to the

available collection points.

Environmental damage through

incorrect disposal of the batter-

ies / rechargeable batteries!

Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed

of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain

toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste

treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols

for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg =

mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of

used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local col-

lection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality

guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery.

In the event of product defects you have legal rights

against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights

are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed

below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date

of purchase. Should this product show any fault in ma-

terials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of

purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice

– free of charge to you.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been

damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or

graving on the front page of the instructions (bottom

left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the appli-

If functional or other defects occur, please contact the

service department listed either by telephone or by

e-mail.

You can return a defective product to us free of charge

to the service address that will be provided to you. En-

sure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt)

and information about what the defect is and when it

occurred.

Tärkeää! Punnitusalalla

oleva punnittava

ei koskaan saa ylittää 5 kg:a. Tuote voi vaurioitua

ylikuormituksesta.

Mittayksikön muuttaminen

Tuote ilmoittaa painon Euroopassa käytössä olevassa

mittayksikössä „g“ (gramma) sekä myös perinteisissä

yksiköissä „oz“ (unssi, 1 oz ≈ 28,35 g) tai „lb’oz“

(pauna: unssi, 1 lb = 16 oz ≈ 453,59 g).

Jos haluat mitata veden tilavuuden, tuote laskee sen vi-

rallisen eurooppalaisen tilavuusyksikön „ml“ (millilitra)

avulla tai perinteisessä mittayksikössä ﬂ’oz (nesteunssi,

1 ﬂ’oz ≈ 28,41 ml).

Mittayksikön voit muuttaa koskettamalla lyhyesti UNIT-

painiketta

Poiskytkeminen

Painamalla TARE-painiketta

n. 3 sekunnin ajan

tuote kytkeytyy pois päältä. Tuote kytkeytyy auto-

maattisesti pois päältä, jos punnitusalaa

käytetä 3 minuuttiin tai tänä aikana ei paineta

mitään painiketta.

Ongelmien ratkaiseminen

= Paristo on liian heikko punnitukseen. Tuotteen

käyttö ei onnistu.

Huomautus: tuote sisältää herkkiä elektronisia raken-

neosia. Siksi on mahdollista, että välittömässä läheisyy-

dessä olevat radiolähetinlaitteet häiritsevät tuotetta.

Jos LC-näyttöön

ilmestyy virheellisiä lukemia, poista

tällaiset laitteet tuotteen läheisyydestä.

Sähköstaattiset purkaukset voivat aiheuttaa toimintahäi-

riöitä. Poista tällaisten toimintahäiriöiden esiintyessä

paristo hetkeksi ja aseta se sitten takaisin paikoilleen.

Puhdistus ja hoito

Älä koskaan upota tuotetta veteen tai muihin

nesteisiin. Muutoin tuote voi vahingoittua.

Puhdista tuote kevyesti kostutetulla, nukattomalla

liinalla.

Jos tuote on normaalia likaisempi, voit

kostuttaa liinan myös mietoon saippualiuokseen.

Hävittäminen

Pakkaus on valmistettu ympäristöystävällisistä materi-

aaleista, jotka voidaan viedä paikalliseen kierrätyspis-

teeseen.

Noudata pakkausmateriaalien jätteiden

lajittelua koskevia merkintöjä. Ne koostuvat

lyhenteistä (a) sekä numeroista (b) ja tar-

koittavat seuraavaa: 1–7 = muovit / 20–

22 = paperi ja pahvi / 80–98 = komposiitit.

Tuote ja pakkausmateriaalit ovat kierrätettä-

viä, hävitä ne erikseen paremman jätteiden

käsittelyn takaamiseksi. Triman-logo koskee

vain Ranskaa.

Lisätietoja käytöstä poistetun tuotteen

hävittämismahdollisuuksista saat kuntasi tai

kaupunkisi viranomaisilta.

Älä heitä käytettyä tuotetta kotitalousjättei-

siin. Hävitä tuote ympäristöystävällisesti toi-

mittamalla se asianmukaiseen jätehuoltoon.

Lisätietoja keräyspaikoista ja niiden aukiolo-

ajoista saat kuntasi viranomaisilta.

Vialliset ja käytetyt paristot / akut on kierrätettävä

direktiivin 2006/66/EY ja siihen tehtyjen muutosten

mukaisesti. Palauta paristot / akut ja / tai tuote lähim-

pään keräyspisteeseen.

Paristojen / akkujen väärä

hävittämistapa aiheuttaa

ympäristövahinkoja!

Paristoja / akkuja ei saa hävittää talousjätteenä. Ne

voivat sisältää myrkyllisiä raskasmetalleja, minkä vuoksi

ne kuuluvat ongelmajätekäsittelyyn. Raskasmetallien

kemialliset merkit ovat seuraavat: Cd = kadmium, Hg =

elohopea, Pb = lyijy. Toimita tästä syystä käytetyt pa-

ristot / akut paikalliseen keräyspisteeseen.

Takuu

Tuote on valmistettu huolellisesti tiukkojen laatudirektiivien

mukaan ja tarkistettu huolella ennen toimitusta. Jos tuote

on virheellinen, sinulla on ostajana lakisääteiset oikeudet

esittää vaatimuksia tuotteen myyjää kohtaan. Seuraa-

vassa esitetty takuu ei rajoita lakisääteisiä oikeuksiasi.

Tuotteelle myönnetty takuu on voimassa 3 vuotta osto-

päivästä lukien. Takuun voimassaolo alkaa tuotteen

ostopäivästä. Säilytä aina alkuperäinen kassakuitti.

Se toimii todisteena tehdystä ostoksesta.

Jos 3 vuoden sisällä tuotteen ostopäivästä alkaen tuot-

teesta löytyy materiaali- tai valmistusvirhe, korjaamme

tuotteen ilmaiseksi tai toimitamme tilalle uuden tuotteen

harkintamme mukaan. Takuu raukeaa, jos tuote on

vioittunut asiattoman käytön tai huollon vuoksi.

Takuu koskee materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä. Takuu ei

kata tuotteen osia, jotka kuluvat normaalissa käytössä

ja siitä syystä pidetään kuluvina osina (esim. paristot)

tai vaurioita särkyvissä osissa esim. kytkimessä, akuissa

tai lasista valmistetuissa osissa.

Toimiminen takuutapauksessa

Jotta asiasi nopea käsittely voidaan taata, pyydämme

sinua toimimaan seuraavien ohjeiden mukaisesti:

Säilytä kassakuitti ja tuotenumero (esim. IAN

123456_7890) todisteena tekemästäsi ostoksesta.

Tuotenumero löytyy tyyppikilvestä, kaiverruksesta,

käyttöohjeen etusivulta (vasen alareuna) tai tuotteen

takaosassa tai pohjassa olevasta tarrasta.

Jos havaitset tuotteessa toimintahäiriöitä tai muita vikoja,

ota ensin yhteyttä puhelimitse tai sähköpostitse alla

mainittuun huoltopalveluun.

Sen jälkeen voit lähettää tuotteen maksutta huoltopal-

velun osoitteeseen. Liitä tuotteen mukaan ostokuitti ja

selvitys havaitusta viasta ja sen havaitsemisajankohdasta.
