Placethemainmodulewithslatsassemblyontothe

crossbarsP,withthelongconnectionarmsOfacing

towardstheheadendofthebed.Ensurethatthecables

ofthemotorsrunbetweenthecrossbarsPandno

cablesaresqueezed.FixtheslatsassemblywithboltsK

andnutsJremovedinstep1.

Ensurethatthemainmoduleisplacedinthemiddleof

themattresssupportframeandthedistancetotheside

tubesisthesameonbothsides.Fixthemainmodule

tothecrossbarsofthemattresssupportframe,with

Ensurethatallcablesrununderneaththebedslatsand

fastenonemotorcabletogetherwiththeswitchcable

onsideofthebedandthesecondmotorcableonthe

othersideofthebed,withthreeplasticstripsoneach

side.Therststripisplacedonthecrossbarandthe

remainingtwoonthesidetubetowardsthefootend

ofthebed.

Movethebedallthewayupanddowntoensureno

cablesaregettingsqueezed.

Mountingthearmsandcover

1.Ensurebothwingsofthemainmoduleareslightly

elevated,sotheconnectionsforthearmsareaccessible.

Connectthefourarmswiththemainmodule,ensuring

thearmswiththehingeisplacedoverthekneebend

hingeonthebedandthatthecurvedshapedsidesof

allarmsarepointingoutwards.Fixthefourarmswith

theAllenboltsandtightenthewing-nutsfacinginwards.

Ensurethesafetywashersareplacedunderneaththe

wing-nuts.

IMPORTANT!

Whenmounting,ensurethatthefourarms

areinahorizontalpositionandadjustthem

ifnecessary

Toadjustthepositionofthearms,foldthemupatthe

jointstothemainmoduleandadjustscrewUuntil

thearmsareinahorizontalpositionwhenfoldedback

down.

Mountthecoverbyslidingthepocketsoverthehead

endandfootendarms.Theheadendofthecoveris

markedby“TOP”.

IMPORTANT!

TheSoftTiltmustnotbeusedwithoutthecover.

Inbothmodesitispossibletoactivatethenormalfunctions

thebed.

Itisrecommendtohavetheheadsectionslightly

raised,whileusingtheSoftTilt,toprovideamore

comfortablepositiontotheend-user.

Manualmode

Themanualmodehasbeendesignedtosupportthecare

staffinturningtheend-userfromsidetosideinthebed.

Thewingscanberaisedandloweredviathehandcontrol

(seesectionManualOperation).

Automaticmode

Theautomaticmodehasbeendesignedtoprovidepressure

reductiontoend-users.

IntheAUTOprogram,thewingswillmoveautomatically

accordingtopre-denedparametersfortimeandangle(see

sectionAutoProgramSequence).

InProgram1and2,thewingswillmoveautomatically

accordingtoindividuallydenedparametersfortimeand

angle(seechapterProgramming).

positionwillautomaticallybedenedasamirrorimageof

therstsideposition.

•Iftheangleforonewingissetbetween13°–30°,this

wingwillbedenedasthe“primarywing.

•Theoppositewingwillthenbedenedasthe

“secondarywing”andlimitsitsselectableanglevalues

to0°–12°.

•The“primarywing”denestherstsidepositionin

theprogramsequence.

Twooptionsforthewingtheend-userislayingon(e.g.left
