Safety

• The product should not be taken apart or modiﬁed. Certain exposed parts

inside thecasing carry dangerous current. Contact with these can lead to ﬁre

• The product is intended for indoor use only.

• Never subject theproduct to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,

humidity or moisture.

• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid.

Do not place any objects containing liquid on theproduct, e.g. ﬂower vases or drinks.

• Do not cover theproduct. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 10 cm

Getting started

1. Plug theDC connector on themains lead into thepower socket DC IN on

theradio.

2. Plug themains lead into awall socket.

3. Press [ ] to turn theradio on.

When you turn theradio on it will automatically synchronise with thelocal time via theDAB

signal. It will continue to search for thetime information until it been synchronised. If after

3 minutes, theclock has not automatically set itself, try repositioning theradio to get

abetter reception.

Listening to the DAB radio

1. Turn theradio on by pressing [ ].

2. The radio will begin scanning automatically

for DAB stations. Whilst theradio is scanning,

“Scanning…” will appear on thedisplay along

with aprogress bar indicator and anumber

showing how many stations have been found.

3. Once thescan has ﬁnished, theradio will select theﬁrst alphanumerically found station.

4. To browse and select astation, press in and turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control. When you have found astation, press the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control to conﬁrm.

NOTE: If theauto scan does not ﬁnd any stations, theradio will enter “Tune Select

Menu”. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control to select either Manual tune or

Autoscan. Conﬁrm by pressing the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control.

DAB auto scan

1. To activate auto scan, ﬁrst press [ l◄◄/MENU ]

to enter themenu.

2. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control to

select “Autoscan”, then press the[ VOLUME/

SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control to conﬁrm.

3. The display will now show “Scanning...”.

All thestations that have been found will be

saved automatically.

4. To listen to one of thesaved stations, press

the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control and

scroll to thedesired station. Conﬁrm by pressing

the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control.

DAB manual scan

1. To activate manual scan, ﬁrst press

[ l◄◄/MENU ] to enter themenu.

2. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control to select “Manual tune”, then press

the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control to

conﬁrm. The display will show “5A to 13F”

and their respective frequencies.

3. To listen to one of thesaved stations, press

the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control

and scroll to thedesired station. Conﬁrm by

pressing the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control.

Secondary DAB services

Time/Date: Time and date (updated automatically)

Frequency: Frequency of thepresent station

Audio Bit Rate: The audio bit rate being received

Signal strength: Signal strength indicated by abar

DLS: Dynamic Label Segmenting is text sent from theDAB station you are listening to.

This can include information about thesongs that are playing or other information.

Programme Type: The type of programme being broadcast

Ensemble/Multiplex (Group name): A collection of stations on thesame frequency

NOTE: Press and hold in [ ►►l/INFO ] for 2 seconds to display thepresent software in

theradio.

On some occasions you will see a“>” symbol after thename of thestation.

This means that there are secondary services available for that station.

For example, asports station may have extra commentary.

Press [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] to select thesecondary service.

DAB display modes

Every time you press [ ►►l/INFO ] in DAB mode, thedisplay will cycle through

thefollowing display modes:

Listening to FM radio

1. Select FM by pressing the[ MODE ] button.

2. To activate auto scan, press and hold in the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control.

The scan stops when astation has been found. The display will show

thedisplay shows “TUNING”, turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control until

you get thebest reception.

Saving and returning to saved stations

Up to 10 stations can be preset in both DAB and FM mode, this will enable you to

access your favourite stations more quickly.

1. To save apreset station, ﬁrst tune into

thedesired frequency and then press and

hold in [ MEMORY ] until thedisplay shows

“Save to P#” and ﬂashes.

2. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control

to select your desired station preset number.

3. Press [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] to

conﬁrm your selection.

4. To go to asaved station, press [ MEMORY ]

and turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control to browse through your presets until

you ﬁnd thedesired station. If thepreset

has not been allocated aspeciﬁc number,

thedisplay will show “Empty preset”.

The reset feature

If you take your radio to another part of thecountry, your preset stations might no

longer be available. If this is thecase, you should reset theradio to its factory settings.

1. Connect theradio to awall socket and press [

] to switch theradio on.

2. Press and hold in [ l◄◄/MENU ]. “Press Select to conﬁrm reset” appears on

thedisplay.

3. Release the[ l◄◄/MENU ] button and press the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control once. The display will show “Restarting...”, and theradio will enter standby

mode once thereset is completed.

4. Press [ ] to switch theradio back on again.

NOTE: All of your saved DAB and FM presets will be lost once thereset has taken place.

Bluetooth

The Bluetooth capabilities of this radio enable it to receive and play music from

external Bluetooth audio sources such as mobile phones.

1. Make sure that theBluetooth feature on theexternal device is activated.

2. Place theexternal device close to theradio.

3. Press [ MODE ] repeatedly until “Switch to BT” appears on thedisplay.

4. Connect themobile phone’s Bluetooth function to “BT speakerN”. If you are

prompted for apassword, enter 0000.

5. Select and conﬁrm thepairing on your phone, theradio wil emit abeep to conﬁrm

thepairing and theﬂashing icon on thedisplay will change to a

Alarm

Setting the alarm

1. Press [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] once to enter theAlarm Menu and then turn

the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control and press it in to select either Alarm 1

or Alarm 2.

2. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control

and select “Alarm Setting”. The display will

show “Alarm # Setting” and thehour digit of

thealarm time will ﬂash.

3. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control to adjust thealarm time and set it by

pressing the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ]

control.

4. Once you have conﬁrmed theminutes

setting, theradio will enter thewake-up

mode.

5. Turn thevolume control to select amode

and conﬁrm by pressing thecontrol in. First

set theDAB and FM presets (1–10), then

theBuzzer Tone (1 or 2) and ﬁnally thealarm

volume level.

6. Repeat thesteps above to set theother

alarm.

4. When thedisplay shows your desired mode, press thevolume control to activate

thealarm. The alarm icon will appear on thedisplay.

5. When thealarm time arrives, thealarm icon will ﬂash to indicate that thealarm is

triggered. Stop thealarm by pressing [ ].

The alarm will automatically repeat every day as long as thealarm icon is displayed.

To cancel thealarm, go to theAlarm Menu and select Alarm # off.

Snooze

When thealarm sounds press [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] to temporarily switch thealarm off

for 5 minutes. The display will show “Zz” to indicate that thesnooze is on. The snooze

function can be repeated for up to one hour.

Setting the SLEEP time

The sleep function allows you to programme theradio to switch itself off after aperiod

of 90, 60, 30 or 10 minutes.

There are 7 settings: OFF, 90 MIN, 80 MIN, 70 MIN, 60 MIN, 30 MIN and 10 MIN.

Press the[ SLEEP ] button to select atime option; theselection will be conﬁrmed

automatically after 3 seconds. When thesleep function is activated theword “SLEEP”

will appear on thedisplay.

AUX IN

There is a3.5 mm stereo aux input socket located on theback of theradio.

1. To select theAUX IN, press [ MODE ] until you see “Switch to AUX” displayed.

2. This will enable you to play audio from anexternal device through theradio.

3. Adjust thevolume using thevolume control.

USB

There is aUSB port located on theback of theradio which can be used for charging

external audio sources, etc.

Activating the alarm

1. Press [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] to enter theAlarm Menu and select Alarm 1 or Alarm 2.

2. Select Alarm Source by turning and pressing the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control.

3. Turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control again to browse through thealarm

mode menu in thefollowing order:

Backlight

The display backlight can be set to one of 4 settings.

1. Press [ l◄◄/MENU ] and turn the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control until you

come to “Backlight”, then press the[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] control to enter

thebacklight menu.

2. Select abacklight level: High, Medium, Low or Off.

Headphone socket

Headphones can be plugged into the3.5 mm socket on theback of theradio.

Care and maintenance

Clean theproduct using asoft, dry cloth. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.

Troubleshooting guide

Problem Solution

No power. • Check thepower point.

• Check that themains lead is connected properly

to both theradio and wall socket.

No sound. • Check thevolume.

• Check that theMUTE function is not activated.

Poor radio signal reception. • Adjust theaerial.

Still poor reception. • Try switching off and unplugging theradio.

Wait 2 minutes before switching it on again.

Att komma igång

Lyssna på DAB-radio

1. Starta radion genom att trycka på [ ].

2. Radion startar autoskanning av DAB-

3. När skanningen är klar väljer radion den först numeriskt hittade stationen.

Bekräfta genom att trycka på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] igen.

OBS! Om inga kanaler hittas går radion in i ”Tune Select Menu”. Vrid på [ VOLUME/

Lyssna på FM-radio

välja önskat platsnummer.

3. Tryck på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] för att

bekräfta ditt val.

4. För att gå till en sparad station, tryck på

[ MEMORY ] och vrid på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/

OK ►ll ] för att gå till önskad station. Om

inte stationen har sparats på ett speciﬁkt

nummer visas ”Empty preset” i displayen.

Återställning

När du tar med radion till en annan del av landet kan dina sparade stationer försvinna.

Då bör du återställa radion till fabriksinställningar.

1. Anslut radion till ett vägguttag och tryck på [

] för att slå på radion.

2. Tryck och håll in [ l◄◄/MENU ] tills displayen visar ”Press Select to conﬁrm reset”.

3. Släpp [ l◄◄/MENU ] knappen och tryck på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] en

gång. Displayen visar ”Restarting…”, och produkten går in i standbyläge när

återställningen är slutförd.

4. Tryck på [ ] för att slå på radion igen.

OBS! Alla dina sparade stationer i DAB- och FM-läge försvinner vid återställning.

Bluetooth

Det går att spela upp musik i radion från externa ljudkällor som exempelvis en mobiltelefon

via Bluetooth.

1. Kontrollera att Bluetoothfunktionen på den externa enheten är påslagen.

2. Placera den externa enheten i närheten av radion.

3. Tryck på [ MODE ] upprepade gånger tills displayen visar ”Switch to BT”.

4. Anslut mobiltelefonens Bluetoothfunktion till ”BT speakerN”. Om du ombeds att

uppge ett lösenord så är det 0000.

5. Välj och bekräfta länkningen i din mobiltelefon, radion avger ett ljud för att bekräfta

länkningen och den blinkande ikonen i displayen övergår till

6. Tryck på funktionsknapparna på radion eller din externa enhet för att spela upp etc.

Alarm

Ställa in alarm

1. Tryck på [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] en gång för att gå in i menyn och vrid på

[ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] och tryck på den för att välja Alarm 1 eller Alarm 2.

2. Vrid på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] och välj

”Alarm Setting”. Displayen visar ”Alarm #

Setting” och siffrorna för timmar blinkar.

3. Vrid på [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ] för att

välja alarmtid och bekräfta genom att trycka

in [ VOLUME/SCROLL/OK ►ll ].

4. Efter att du har bekräftat inställning för

minuterna går produkten in i vakningsläge.

Vrid på volymkontrollen för att välja läge och

bekräfta med att trycka på den.

Välj först DAB- och FM-förinställda kanaler

(1–10) och Buzzer Tone (1 eller 2) och

slutligen volymnivå.

5. Repetera ovanstående steg för att ställa in

det andra alarmet.

Snooze

När alarmet ljuder, tryck på [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] för att stänga av alarmet tillfälligt

i 5 minuter. Displayen visar ”Zz” för att indikera att snoozefunktionen är på. Detta kan

upprepas i en timme.

Ställa in automatisk avstängning (SLEEP)

Sleepfunktionen gör att man kan programmera apparaten att slå av sig själv om 90,

60, 30 eller 10 minuter.

Det ﬁnns följande lägen: OFF, 90 MIN, 80 MIN, 70 MIN, 60 MIN, 30 MIN och 10 MIN.

Tryck på [ SLEEP ] för att bläddra, och valet bekräftas automatiskt efter ca 3 sekunder.

AUX IN

Det ﬁnns en 3,5 mm stereoanslutning på baksidan av radion.

1. För att välja AUX IN, tryck på [ MODE ] och gå till ”Switch to AUX”.

2. Du kan nu spela upp ljud i radion från en extern ljudkälla.

3. Justera volymen med volymkontrollen.

USB

Det ﬁnns en USB-port på baksidan att använda för laddning av extern ljudkälla etc.

Aktivera alarm

1. Tryck på [ ALARM/SNOOZE ] för att gå in i menyn och välj Alarm 1 eller Alarm 2.

Skötsel och underhåll

Ingen ström. • Kontrollera att vägguttaget är helt.

• Kontrollera att nätsladden är korrekt ansluten till

Inget ljud. • Kontrollera volymen.

• Kontrollera att MUTE inte är aktiverad.

Dålig radiosignal. • Justera antennen.

• Byt kanal.

Fortfarande dålig radiosignal. • Prova att starta om radion helt. Vänta 2 minuter

mellan försöken.
