2.0 - Hardware Kit Contents
The Split Mounting Hardware has been uniquely designed to allow for mounting
of our MaTRx Series wheelchair backs when a rigidizer bar is installed between the
wheelchair’s back canes. The easy to use split mounting hardware still maintains a
high degree of adjustability, while effectively eliminating any interference issues
experienced with our standard mounting hardware.
Note: the Split Mounting Hardware is not recommended for use with MaTRx-PB Heavy Duty backs)

SEAT DEPTH (Fore/Aft Adjustment):
The Cane Clamp Kits may be mounted in a forward or rearward position on the back
canes. The cane clamp assemblies are shipped in the rearward mounting configura-
tion- see Figure 2A below. This maximizes the seat depth on the wheelchair seat (up
to 2.5” (64
mm) maximum rearward offset).
By inverting the cane clamps on the back canes, the assembly can be reconfigured to
give a more forward mounting position* (up to a maximum 2.5” (64
mm) forward offset -
see Figure 2B below).
*note: in the forward position, the mounting plates must also be removed and reinstalled in the
proper orientation - as indicated below.
The slots in the upper and lower mounting plates, also provide up to 1.5" (38mm) of
fore and aft adjustment relative to the cane clamp.
When establishing the mounting position for the MaTRx back, ensure the stability of
the wheelchair is not compromised.
Adjusting the fore and aft position of the backrest will alter the user’s center of grav-
ity within the wheelchair. A recessed back position can significantly reduce the
rearward stability of the wheelchair. Similarly, amore forward back position will re-
duce the wheelchair’s forward stability.

4.0 Hardware and MaTRx Back Installation
Important! Prior to installation, ensure the left and right mounting plates
are in the proper orientation and secured to the back canes at the same height.
Important! To function effectively and provide proper support, all MaTRx
backs should be centered between the back canes.
1 Remove existing wheelchair back upholstery (if applicable).
2 Establish the desired cane clamp/mounting plate seat depth configuration for
the end user (as per Section 3.0).
3 Loosen the screws on the Lower Cane Clamp ass’y and loosely install the clamps
(with mounting brackets) onto each back cane. (Install plastic inserts if required).
4 Starting with the left* back cane, position/slide the Lower Cane Clamp to the de-
sired height and tighten the clamp screws enough to hold it in place. (Clamps
can be fully tightened after the back is installed and all final adjustments have been
made.)
5 From a fixed point on the wheelchair measure the exact height of the installed Cane
Clamp assembly, and install the second Cane Clamp at the same height on the
right* back cane. Ensure the Cane Clamps/Mounting Plates are also mounted
parallel with each other.
6 With the lower cane clamp assemblies installed, loosen the screws on the Upper
Cane Clamp assemblies and install the clamps (with mounting brackets) loosely
onto each back cane- approximately 7” (18cm) above the lower clamp ass’y. (Install
plastic inserts if required). (Clamps can be fully tightened after the MaTRx back is
installed and all final adjustments have been made.)
7 To install the MaTRx-PB elite back onto the mounting plates:
Step 1: Slide the lower mounting pins from the MaTRx back into the notch in
the top of the lower mounting plates
Step 2: With the lower pins in place, adjust the height of the upper cane clamp
ass’y as needed so that the upper pins (on the MaTRx back) lock/snap into the
latch mechanism of the Upper Mounting Plates.
8 With the Split Mounting Hardware (upper and lower clamp ass’y) properly ad-
justed, fully tighten all clamp assembly hardware.
9 The mounting pins for the MaTRx back may require adjustment to ensure the back-
rest is propely fitted/secured to the wheelchair.; For instructions on adjusting the
mounting pins, please refer to the installation manual provided with the MaTRx
Series back.

2.0 - Contenu du kit matériel
Le matériel de fixation divisée a été conçu uniquement pour permettre la fixation
de nos dossiers de fauteuil roulant MaTRx Series lorsqu’une barre rigide est installée
entre les cannes du dossier. Le matériel de fixation divisée, facile à utiliser, préserve un
haut degré d’ajustabilité tout en éliminant efficacement les interférences parfois vécues
avec notre matériel de fixation standard.
Remarque : le matériel de fixation divisée n’est pas conseillé pour une utilisation avec les dossiers
MaTRx-PB Heavy Duty)

PROFONDEUR D’ASSISE (réglage avant/arrière) :
Les kits de clames de cannes peuvent être montés en position avant ou arrière sur
les cannes de dossier. Les ensembles de clames de cannes sont expédiés en configu-
ration de montage arrière - voir Figure 2A ci-dessous. Ceci augmente la profondeur
d’assise sur le fauteuil (décalage arrière maximum 2.5” (64
mm).
En inversant les clames de cannes sur les cannes de dossier, l’ensemble peut être re-
configuré pour obtenir une position de montage plus en avant* (décalage avant maxi-
mum de 2.5” (64
mm) - voir Figure 2B ci-dessous).
*Remarque : en position avant, les plaques de fixation doivent aussi être déposées et réinstallées
dans le bon sens – comme indiqué ci-dessous.
Les fentes dans les plaques de fixation supérieure et inférieure fournissent également

mm) d’ajustement avant et arrière relativement à la clame de canne.
Lors du choix de la position de montage du dossier MaTRx, assurez-vous de la
stabilité du fauteuil.
L’ajustement de la position avant et arrière du dossier modifie le centre de gravité
de l’utilisateur dans le fauteuil roulant. Une position reculée vers l’arrière peut
réduire sensiblement la stabilité arrière du fauteuil roulant. De la même ma-
nière, une position avancée réduit la stabilité avant du fauteuil roulant.

Important ! Avant l’installation, assurez-vous que les plaques de fixation
gauche et droite sont dans le bon sens et fixées aux cannes de dossier à la
même hauteur
.
Important ! Pour fonctionner efficacement et fournir un bon soutien,
tous les dossiers MaTRx doivent être centrés entre les cannes de dossier.
1 Déposez la sellerie de dossier du fauteuil roulant (si applicable).
2 Etablissez la configuration de profondeur d’assise souhaitée via la clame de canne/plaque
de fixation pour l’utilisateur final (as per Section 3.0).
3 Dévissez les vis de l’ensemble de la clame de canne inférieure et installez les clames (avec
les supports de fixation) sans serrer sur chaque canne de dossier. (Installez des inserts plastiques
si nécessaire).
4 En commençant par la canne de dossier gauche*, positionnez/faites glisser la clame de
canne inférieure à la hauteur souhaitée et serrez les vis de clame assez pour la faire tenir
en place. (Les clames peuvent être serrées à fond après l’installation du dossier et une fois
tous les réglages finaux effectués).
5 A partir d’un point fixe sur le fauteuil roulant, mesurez la hauteur exacte de l’ensemble de
clame de canne installé et installez la deuxième clame de canne à la même hauteur sur la
canne de dossier droite*. Assurez-vous que les clames de cannes/plaques de fixation sont
aussi montées parallèlement les unes aux autres.
6 Avec les ensembles de clames de cannes inférieurs installés, desserrez les vis de l’ensemble
de clames de cannes supérieur et installez les clames (avec les supports de fixation) sans
serrer sur chaque canne de dossier – à environ 7” (18 cm) au-dessus de l’ensemble de clames
inférieur. (Installez des inserts plastiques si nécessaire). (Les clames peuvent être serrées à
fond après l’installation du dossier MaTRx et une fois tous les réglages finaux effectués).
7 Pour installer le dossier MaTRx elite sur les plaques de fixation :
Etape 1 : Faites glisser les broches de fixation inférieures du dossier MaTRx dans la fente
en haut des plaques de fixation inférieures
Etape 2 : Avec les broches inférieures en place, ajustez la hauteur de l’ensemble de clames
de cannes inférieur de manière que les broches supérieures (sur le dossier MaTRx) s’en-
clenchent dans le mécanisme de verrouillage des plaques de fixation supérieures.
8 Avec le matériel de fixation divisé (ensembles clames supérieur et inférieur) correctement
ajusté, serrez à fond tout le matériel de l’ensemble de clames.
9 Les broches de fixation pour le dossier MaTRx peuvent nécessiter un réglage pour s’assurer
que le dossier est parfaitement fixé au fauteuil roulant.; Pour les instructions sur l’ajustage des
broches de fixation, veuillez vous reporter au manuel d’installation fourni avec le dossier
MaTRx Series.

2.0– Montagesatz für Anbauteile
Die Teile für das getrennte Befestigen wurden konzipiert, um das Montieren unserer MaTRx
Series Rückenlehnen von Rollstühlen zu ermöglichen, wenn eine Querstrebe zwischen den
hinteren Gestängen des Rollstuhls befestigt ist. Die Teile für das getrennte Befestigen sind einfach
zu bedienen und bieten ein breites Spektrum an Justiermöglichkeiten. Die Einschränkungen, wie
sie bei unseren Standardbefestigungsteilen bestanden, treten hier nicht auf.
Hinweis: Die Teile für das getrennte Befestigen werden nicht für die Verwendung mit den MaTRx-
PB Heavy Duty Rückenlehnen empfohlen.

SITZTIEFE (vodere/hintere Justierung):
Die Montagesätze für Gestängeklemmen können in der vorderen oder hinteren Position an
den hinteren Gestängen befestigt werden. Die Montagesätze für Gestängeklemmen werden für
die hintere Montagekonfiguration geliefert. Siehe Abbildung 2A unten. Das vergrößert die
Sitztiefe des Rollstuhles (bis maximal 64 mm (2,5
”), hinterer Versatz).
Durch Umdrehen der Gestängeklemmen an den hinteren Gestängen kann der Montagesatz so
konfiguriert werden, dass eine höhere Rückenstellung gewährleistet ist* (bis zu maximal 64 mm
(2,5
”), vorderer Versatz, siehe Abbildung 2B unten).
*Hinweis: Die vordere Position dient auch zum Entfernen und erneuten Anbringen der Befestigungs-
platten in der richtigen Ausrichtung. Siehe Angaben unten.
Die Schlitze in den oberen und unteren Befestigungsplatten sind außerdem für eine Längsein-
stellung von 38 mm (1,5
”) in Abhängigkeit von der Klemme am Gestänge ausgelegt.
Stellen Sie bei der Einstellung der Montageposition der MaTRx Rückenlehne sicher,
dass die Stabilität des Rollstuhls nicht beeinträchtigt wird.
Die Justierung der vorderen und der hinteren Position der Rückenlehne wirkt sich
auf den Schwerpunkt des Benutzers im Rollstuhl aus. Eine nach hinten geneigte
Rückenstellung kann die hintere Stabilität des Rollstuhls erheblich beeinträchti-
gen. Dementsprechend kann eine nach vorne geneigte Rückenstellung die vordere
Stabilität des Rollstuhls beeinträchtigen.

4.0 Befestigungsteile und Befestigung der MaTRx Rückenlehne
Wichtig! Stellen Sie vor der Befestigung sicher, dass die linke und rechte
Befestigungsplatte richtig ausgerichtet und in der gleichen Höhe am hinteren
Gestänge befestigt sind.
Wichtig! Damit die MaTRx Rückenlehnen optimal funktionieren und ord-
nungsgemäß Unterstützung bieten können, müssen sie in der Mitte zwischen
den hinteren Gestängen angebracht werden.
1 Entfernen Sie die Rückenpolster (sofern vorhanden).
2 Richten Sie die gewünschte Sitztiefen-Konfiguration des Endbenutzers mit der Gestänge-
klemme/der Befestigungsplatte ein (wie in Abschnitt 3.0 beschrieben).
3 Lockern Sie die Schrauben an der unteren Gestängeklemme, und montieren Sie die Klemmen
(mit der Halterung) lose auf jedem hinteren Gestänge. (Montieren Sie ggf. den Plastikeinsatz.)
4 Beginnen Sie mit dem linken* hinteren Gestänge, positionieren/schieben Sie die untere
Gestängeklemme auf die gewünschte Höhe, und ziehen Sie die Klemmschrauben so fest,
dass die Klemme nicht verrutschen kann. (Die Klemmen können erst festgezogen werden,
nachdem die Rückenlehne montiert ist und alle Einstellungen vorgenommen wurden).
5 Messen Sie die exakte Höhe der montierten Gestängeklemme von einem festen Punkt auf
dem Rollstuhl, und montieren Sie dann die zweite Gestängeklemme auf der gleichen Höhe
am rechten* hinteren Gestänge. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Gestängeklemen/Befestigungs
platten parallel zueinander montiert sind.
6 Die untere Gestängeklemme ist montiert. Lockern Sie nun die Schrauben an der oberen
Gestängeklemme, und installieren Sie die Klemmen (mit Halterung) ca. 18 cm (7
”) über
dem unteren Klemmensystem lose auf beiden hinteren Gestängen. (Montieren Sie ggf. den
Plastikeinsatz.)). (Die Klemmen können erst festgezogen werden, nachdem die MaTRx
Rückenlehne montiert ist und alle Einstellungen vorgenommen wurden.)
7 Montieren der MaTRx-PB elite Rückenlehne an den Befestigungsplatten:
Schritt 1: Schieben Sie die unteren Befestigungsstifte von der MaTRx Rückenlehne in die
Kerbe oben an den unteren Befestigungsplatten.
Schritt 2: Die unteren Stifte sind nun positioniert. Justieren Sie jetzt die Höhe der oberen
Gestängeklemmen, sodass die oberen Stifte (an der MaTRx Rückenlehne) in den Sperr-
mechanismus der oberen Befestigungsplatten einrasten.
8 Wenn die Teile für das getrennte Befestigen (oberes und unteres Klemmensystem) richtig
justiert sind, ziehen Sie alle Befestigungsteile des Klemmensystems fest.
9 Die Befestigungsstifte für die MaTRx Rückenlehne müssen u.U. noch justiert werden, damit
die Rückenlehne richtig sitzt/am Rollstuhl befestigt ist. Anweisungen zum Justieren der Befes-

2.0 - Contenuto del kit di elementi di montaggio
Gli elementi di montaggio a intaglio sono stati progettati unicamente per essere montati
sui nostri schienali per carrozzine della serie MaTRx quando una barra di irrigidimento
viene installata tra i tubi dello schienale della carrozzina. La facilità di utilizzo degli elementi
di montaggio a intaglio mantiene alto il livello di adattabilità, eliminando efficacemente
eventuali problemi d’interferenza sperimentati con i nostri elementi di montaggio standard.
Nota: Gli elementi di montaggio a intaglio non sono raccomandati per essere utilizzati con gli
schienali per uso intensivo MaTRx-PB).

PROFONDITÀ SEDILE (regolazione in avanti/indietro):
I kit di morsetti per tubi possono essere montati in una posizione in avanti o indietro
sui tubi dello schienale. I gruppi di morsetti per tubi vengono inviati nella configurazione
di montaggio indietro - vedi figura 2A di seguito. Questo massimizza la profondità
del sedile sul sedile della carrozzina (fino ad uno scarto posteriore massimo di 2,5
pollici (64
mm).
Invertendo i morsetti del tubo sui tubi dello schienale, il gruppo può essere riconfigurato
per dare una posizione di montaggio più avanzata * (fino ad uno scarto anteriore
massimo di 2,5 pollici (64 mm) - vedere figura 2B di seguito).
*Nota: nella posizione in avanti, le piastre di fissaggio devono essere rimosse e reinstallate con
l’orientamento corretto - come indicato di seguito.
Le fessure nelle piastre di fissaggio superiore e inferiore inoltre permettono una re-
golazione di 1,5 pollici (38 mm) di in avanti e indietro rispetto al morsetto del tubo.
Nello stabilire la posizione di montaggio per Io schienale MaTRx, assicurarsi che
la stabilità della carrozzina non sia compromessa.
La regolazione della posizione dello schienale (avanti e indietro) altera il baricentro
dell’utilizzatore nella carrozzina. Una posizione dello schienale eccessivamente
reclinata all’indietro può ridurre significativamente la stabilità posteriore della
carrozzina. Allo stesso modo, una posizione dello schienale eccessivamente in
avanti riduce la stabilità anteriore della carrozzina.

4.0 Installazione della viteria e dello schienale MaTRx
Importante! Prima dell’installazione, assicurarsi che le piastre di fissaggio
sinistra e destra siano orientate correttamente e fissate ai tubi dello schienale
alla stessa altezza
.
Importante! Per funzionare in modo efficace e fornire un adeguato sup-
porto, tutti gli schienali MaTRx devono essere centrati tra i tubi dello schienale.
1 Rimuovere il tessuto di rivestimento dello schienale della carrozzina (se presente).
2 Stabilire la configurazione desiderata di profondità del sedile del morsetto del sedile/
della piastra di fissaggio per l’utilizzatore finale (come indicato nella Sezione 3.0).
3 Allentare le viti sul gruppo dei morsetti dei tubi inferiore e installare senza serrare i
morsetti (con staffe di fissaggio) su ogni tubo dello schienale. (Installare gli inserti in
plastica, se necessario).
4 Partendo dal tubo dello schienale sinistro*, posizionare / far scorrere il morsetto del
tubo inferiore all’altezza desiderata e serrare sufficientemente le viti dei morsetti per
tenerli in posizione. (I morsetti possono essere completamente serrati dopo l’installa-
zione dello schienale e dopo tutte le eventuali sue regolazioni).
5 Da un punto fisso sulla carrozzina misurare l’altezza esatta del gruppo del morsetto del
tubo installato, e installare il secondo morsetto del tubo alla stessa altezza sul tubo
dello schienale destro*. Assicurarsi che i morsetti del tubo / le piastre di fissaggio
siano inoltre montati in parallelo l’uno con l’altro.
6 Con i gruppi morsetti dei tubi inferiori installati, allentare le viti sui gruppi dei morsetti
dei tubi superiori e installare serrare i morsetti (con staffe di fissaggio) su ogni tubo
dello schienale – circa 7 pollici (18 cm) sopra il gruppo dei morsetti inferiore. (Installare
gli inserti in plastica, se necessario). (I morsetti possono essere completamente serrati
dopo l’installazione dello schienale MaTRx e dopo tutte le eventuali sue regolazioni).
7 Per montare lo schienale MaTRx elite sulle piastre di fissaggio:
Passaggio 1: Far scorrere i perni di fissaggio inferiori dallo schienale MaTRx nella
tacca sulla parte inferiore delle piastre di fissaggio inferiori
Passaggio 2: Con i perni inferiori in posizione, bloccare i perni di fissaggio superiori
fino ad udirne lo scatto nel meccanismo di chiusura in alto sulle piastre di fissaggio.
8 Con la viteria di fissaggio a intaglio (gruppo morsetto superiore e inferiore) regolato
correttamente, serrare tutto le viti di fissaggio del morsetto.
9 I perni di fissaggio per lo schienale MATRX possono richiedere una regolazione per ga-
rantire che lo schienale sia correttamente montato/assicurato alla carrozzina.; Per le
istruzioni su come regolare i perni di fissaggio, fare riferimento al manuale di
installazione fornito con gli schienali della serie MaTRx.
*Nota:
Fare riferimento alla figura 3.0 per confermare il corretto ’orientamento
della piastra di montaggio.
