We congratulate you on the purchase

of your new device. You have chosen

a high quality product. The operating

instructions are part of the product. They contain

important information concerning safety, use and

disposal. Before using the product, familiarise your-

self with all the operating and safety instructions.

Only use the product as instructed and only for the

stated areas of use. If you pass the product on to

anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on

all the documentation with it.

Intended use

The compressed air orbital sander is suitable for

sanding, polishing and preparation of various sur-

faces. Any other use or modiﬁcation to the appli-

ance shall be considered as improper use and

could give rise to considerable dangers. We will

not accept liability for loss or damage arising from

improper use. The device is intended for private,

domestic use only.

The noise levels given in these instructions have

been measured in accordance with a standardised

measurement procedure speciﬁed in EN ISO 15744

and can be used to compare appliances. Diﬀerent

uses of the pressurised air tool give rise to diﬀerent

noise levels and in some cases they may exceed

the values given in these instructions. It is easy to

underestimate the noise load if the compressed air

tool is used regularly under those circumstances.

Note: For an accurate assessment of the noise

loads experienced during a particular work period,

you should also take into account the intervening

periods of time when the appliance is switched oﬀ

or is running but is not actually in use. This can re-

sult in a much lower noise load over the whole of

the work period.

Safety instructions

Please read all safety in-

formation and instructions. Failure to comply

with the safety advice and instructions can result in

severe injuries and / or damage to property.

For future reference keep all the safety

advice and instructions in a safe place.

Check the appliance for damage be-

fore bringing it into use. Do not use the

appliance if you discover any defects.

Keep children and other per-

sons away from the appliance

during use. Distractions can cause

you to lose control of the appliance.

Do not soak materials or areas that

are to be worked on with liquids con-

taining solvents.

Avoid sanding of paints containing

lead or other material detrimental to

your health.

Do not work on materials containing

asbestos. Asbestos is considered carcinogenic.

Avoid contact with the running sanding

disc.

Only use the appliance with the

attached sanding disc.

Always keep the device clean, dry

and free of oil or grease.

Keep your workplace clean. Material

mixtures are particularly dangerous. Aluminium

dust can burn or explode.

Secure the work-piece firmly. Use clamps

or a vice to firmly hold the work-piece. This

results in a safer grip than with your hand.

Under no circumstances should you

place your hands next to or in front of

the appliance or on the area to be

worked, you could be seriously injured if the

appliance slips.

Ensure that nobody is endangered by

flying sparks. Remove combustible materi-

als from the immediate vicinity. Flying sparks

are produced when metals are ground.

Introduce the appliance to the work-

piece when it is switched on. When the

task is complete, lift the appliance from the

work-piece and then switch it off.

Let the switched off appliance come

to a complete standstill before putting

it down.

After every use check the speed and

the noise level.

Check speed regularly.

ATTENTION! Clean the appliance before

maintenance from all dangerous substances

which (due to work processes) may have accu-

mulated on the appliance. Avoid all skin con-

tact with these substances.

Note: If your skin comes into contact with

dangerous dusts, severe dermatitis may result.

If dust is produced or dispersed during the

maintenance work, it can be inhaled.

General safety rules

The operator always has to assess the particu-

lar risks involved in the respective applications

and has to carry out the connected safety

measures.

Multiple hazards. The safety instructions

must be read and understood before rigging,

operating, repairing, maintaining and exchang-

ing accessories on the sander and before

working near the machine. Failure to observe

this may result in severe physical injuries.

The sander or polisher should only be set up,

adjusted or used by qualified and trained

operators.

This sander or polisher must not be

modified. Modifications may reduce the

effectiveness of safety measures and increase

operator risks.

Do not allow these safety instructions

to get lost - hand them to the operator.

Never used damaged discs for the

sander or polisher.

The machines have to be regularly

inspected to check that the machines

are marked with the rated values and

markings clearly given in this docu-

ment. If necessary the employer/operator

has to contact the manufacturer to receive

replacement labels.

Risks due to projected parts

If the work-piece, one of the accessories or the

tool itself breaks, parts may be projected at

great speed.

When operating the sander or the

polisher, always wear impact resistant

eye protection. The level of required pro-

tection required should be assessed individually

for each application.

When working overhead, a safety

helmet must be worn.

In this case, the risk to other people must also

be assessed.

It must be ensured that the work-piece

is properly secured.

Hazards from entanglement

There is the danger of suffocation,

scalping or suffering cuts, when loosely

fitting clothing, jewellery, hair or

gloves are not kept away from the

machine and its accessories.

Operating hazards

When using the machine, the operator‘s

hands may be at risk, for example

from cutting, abrasion and heat. Wear

suitable gloves to protect hands.

The operator and maintenance personnel must

be physically capable of managing the size,

weight and power of the machine.

Hold the machine correctly: be prepared

to counteract typical or sudden movements –

keep both hands ready.

Be sure your body is well balanced

and that you maintain a solid grip.

In the event of power failure release the start

or stop control.

Only use lubricants recommended by the

manufacturer (pneumatic oil).

To oil the appliance manually, remove the air

hose and fill 1 to 2 drops of a suitable pneu-

matic engine oil into the hose pipe end of the

machine.

Wear suitable protective

gloves. Otherwise there is the

danger of injuries due to cuts!

Wear protective glasses!

Wear suitable clothing!

Hazards due to repetitive

motions

When using the sander or polisher for

work related tasks, the operator may

experience uncomfortable sensations

in hands, arms and the area of the

neck and shoulder or in other parts of

the body.

The operator should maintain a com-

fortable position whilst using this

sander or polisher, thereby ensuring

a secure grip and avoiding awkward

positions or positions making it diffi-

cult to maintain balance. The operator

should change his posture when working for

longer, to help avoid discomfort and fatigue.

If the operator experiences symptoms

such as persistently or repeatedly

feeling unwell, discomfort, palpita-

tions, pain, tingling, numbness, a

burning sensation or stiffness, these

warning signs should not be ignored.

The operator should report these to the em-

ployer and consult a qualified healthcare pro-

fessional.

accessories

Unplug the sander or polisher before you

change tools or accessories.

Only use the size and types of accessories

and consumables recommended by the manu-

facturer of the sander or polisher.

Please avoid direct contact with the machine

tool during and after use, as it could have

heated up or have sharp edges.

Only use tools and accessories for the sander

and polisher that are designated for use by

the manufacturer of the sander and polisher.

Do not use cutting discs and machines for cutting.

It must be checked that the maximum operating

speed of the machine tool (flap discs, sanding

belts, fleece discs) is higher than the nominal

speed of the machine.

Please make sure that you affix the self-adhe-

sive abrasive sheets can be concentrically to

the mounting plate.

Hazards in the work

environment

Slipping, tripping and falling are the

main causes of injuries at the work-

place. Keep in mind that surfaces may have

become slippery during machine use, and

remember tripping hazards caused by the air-

or hydraulic hose.

Proceed with caution in unfamiliar

surroundings. There may be hidden dan-

gers due to electrical cables or other supply

lines.

These machines for sanding and

polishing are not suitable for use in

explosive environments and are not

insulated against contact with electri-

cal power sources.

Verify that there are no electrical lines,

gas lines, etc. that may result in a hazard in

the event of them becoming damaged during

machine use.

Hazards due to dust

and vapours

Dusts and vapours generated by the

use of machines for sanding and pol-

ishing may result in damage to health

(e.g. cancer, birth defects, asthma and /

or dermatitis); it is imperative to perform a

risk assessment for these hazards and implement

the respective regulatory mechanisms.

The risk assessment should include dust

generated by machine use and the

dust already present in the area, which

is possibly being blown around.

The machine for sanding or the polisher must

be operated and maintained as recommended

in these instructions to minimise the creation of

dust and vapour.

Exhaust air must be discharged in such a way

that the amount of dust being blown about in

a dusty environment is minimised.

If dust or vapours are generated, the principal

task must be to control them in the area where

they are released.

All machine mounting parts or accessories in-

tended to collect, extract or eliminate airborne

dust or vapours should be used and maintained

according to manufacturer instructions.

Select, maintain and replace consumables /

machine tools as recommended in these in-

structions to prevent an unnecessary increase

in the production of dust or vapours.

Use respiratory protection equipment accord-

ing to employer instructions or as required by

environmental health regulations.

Noise hazards

With inadequate ear protection the

impact of high noise levels may result

in permanent hearing damage, hear-

ing loss and other problems, e.g. tin-

nitus (ringing, whistling or buzzing in

the ear).

It is imperative to perform a risk assessment

for these hazards and implement the suitable

regulatory mechanisms.

Suitable regulatory mechanisms to minimise

the risk include measures such as using insula-

tion to prevent pinging sounds on work-pieces.

Use ear protection according to your employ-

er‘s instructions or as required by labour- and

health regulations.

The sander or polishing machine must

be operated and maintained as rec-

ommended in these instructions to

prevent an unnecessary increase in

the noise level.

Select, maintain and replace consumables /

machine tools as recommended in these in-

structions to prevent an unnecessary increase

in the noise level.

Ensure that if the sander or the polish-

er is equipped with a silencer, this is

always in place and functional when

the machine is operated.

Hazard due to vibration

Exposure to vibration may cause

damage to the nerves and disturb

blood circulation in hands and arms.

When working in cold environments wear

warm clothes and keep hands warm and dry.

If you notice your hands or your fin-

gers become numb, tingle, or hurt or

your skin on fingers or hands becomes

white, stop working with the sander

or polisher, notify your employer and

consult a physician.

The sander or polishing machine must be

operated and maintained as recommended in

these instructions to prevent an unnecessary

increase in the vibration level.

Hold the machine firmly, but not too tightly,

maintaining the necessary hand reaction forces,

as the vibration hazard typically increases

when firming the grip.

Additional safety instructions

for pneumatic machinery

Compressed air can result in serious

injuries.

Always close the air supply, release pressure

from the hose, and disconnect the machine from

the compressed air supply, when the machine

is not in use, before switching accessories or

when performing repairs.

Never aim the air flow at yourself or

others.

Hoses flapping about can result in

serious injuries. Therefore, always inspect

hoses and their fasteners for damage and a

secure fit.

If using universal swivel couplings (coupling

discs) always use locking pins. Whip-check

hose safety cables must be used for protection

in the event the connection between the hose

and the machine or in between hoses fails.

Ensure not to exceed the maximum

pressure specified on the machine.

Never carry pneumatic tools by the

hose.

Original accessories / tools

Use only the accessories detailed in the

operating instructions. The use of inserted

tools or accessories other than those recom-

mended in the operating instructions could lead

to you suﬀering an injury.

Selecting the grinding disc

Metal Removal and Surface:

The rate of metal removal and the surface quality

are determined by the grain size of the grinding disc.

lease note that corresponding grinding discs

with diﬀerent grain sizes should be used for

processing diﬀerent materials.

Changing sanding sheets

The air sander is ﬁtted with a hook and loop fastening,

which allows for quick and easy replacement of

sanding discs.

Lift the grinding disc at the side and pull it oﬀ

from the backing pad

in order to remove it.

Note: Before securing a new sanding sheet, re-

move all dust and dirt from the sander plate

Ensure that the openings in the sanding sheet

concur with the boreholes of the sanding plate

Dust / swarf removal by suction

Please note the “Safety instructions” section.

Using the internal vacuum extraction

with dust collection device (see Fig. B):

Push the exhaust air hose

fully on to the

connection for dust extraction

Note: Empty the dust bag

in good time and

regularly to ensure optimum dust extraction. To

do this open the zip fastener on the underside

of the dust bag

Topping up the oil

In order for the air sander to have a long service life,

there must always be enough pneumatic oil in the

device.

You may ensure this in any of the

following ways:

Connect a service unit with an oiler to the

compressor.

Install a line oiler in the compressed air line or

at the compressed air device.

Put approx. 3–5 drops of pneumatic oil by

hand into the plug nipple

every 15 minutes

of operation.

Preparing for use

Connecting the compressed

air source

Note: The air sander must be operated using

cleaned and condensate-free compressed air only

and its maximum allowable working

pressure of

6.3 bar at the device must not be exceed

ed.

Note: The compressed air source must be ﬁtted

with

a (ﬁlter) pressure reducer so that the air pressure can

be regulated.

Connect the plug nipple

by a quick-release

coupler to the compressed air supply.

Switching on and oﬀ

Note: Always switch on the air sander before

bringing it into contact with the workpiece material.

Switching on the air sander:

Press the operator’s lever

fully down

(see Fig. C).

Set the speed using the speed control

Switching off the air sander:

Release the operator’s lever

After you ﬁnish work, disconnect the device

from the compressed air source.

Note: First disconnect the hose from the com-

pressed air source (compressor) and only then

disconnect the compressed air supply hose

from the device. This will ensure that the com-

pressed air supply hose does not wave around

in an uncontrolled manner.

Advice on use

Wait until the device has come to a standstill

before you put it down.

Sanding surfaces

Switch the air sander on and bring the whole

of its sanding area into contact with the surface

to be abraded. Move it using even pressure to

and fro over the workpiece (see Fig. D).

Note: The sanding output and appearance are

largely dependent on the choice of sanding

sheet and the pressure applied. A sanding sheet

must be free of defects to produce a good

sanding output.

Ensure that you use an even pressure. Excessive

pressure does not produce a higher sanding out-

put, it just increases the wear on the sanding

sheet.

A sanding sheet previously used on metal must

not be used on other materials.

Replacing the backing plate

source before you replace the backing plate

Push the open-ended spanner

between the

backing plate

and collar

Release the backing plate

by turning the

plate anticlockwise and holding the open-ended

spanner

still against this movement.

Screw on a new backing plate

clockwise

until tight while holding the open-ended span-

ner

still against this movement.

Cleaning

RISK OF INJURY! Always

disconnect the device from the compressed air

source before you clean it.

Clean the air sander after you have ﬁnished

using it.

Store the air sander in dry enclosed rooms only.

Use a dry cloth to clean the device. Under no

circumstances should you use petrol, solvent or

cleaners which attack plastic.

Keep the ventilation openings clear at all times.

Remove dust clinging to the sander

with a brush.

remains safe to use.

Warranty

The warranty for this appliance is for 3

years from the date of purchase. The ap-

pliance has been manufactured with care

and meticulously examined before deliv-

ery. Please retain your receipt as proof

of purchase. In the event of a warranty

claim, please make contact by telephone

with our Service Department. Only in this

way can a post-free despatch for your

goods be assured.

The warranty covers only claims for material and

maufacturing defects, but not for transport damage,

for wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo-

nents, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for pri-

te use only and is not intended for commercial use.

The warranty is void in the case of abusive and im-

proper handling, use of force and internal tamper-

ing not carried out by our authorized service branch.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way

by this warranty.

The warranty period will not be extended by repairs

made unter warranty. This applies also to replaced

and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant

on purchase must be reported immediately after

unpacking the appliance, at the latest, two days after

the purchase date. Repairs made after the expiration

of the warranty period are subject to payment.

Määräystenmukainen käyttö

Paineilmakäyttöinen epäkeskohiomakone on tarkoi-

tettu erilaisten pintojen hiontaan, kiillotukseen ja

valmisteluun. Kaikki muu käyttö tai laitteen muutta-

minen ei ole määräystenmukaista ja se voi aiheuttaa

huomattavia vaaratilanteita. Emme ota vastuuta

vahingoista, jotka johtuvat määräystenvastaisesta

käytöstä. Laite on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityis-

käyttöön.

Turvallisuusohjeet

Lue kaikki turvallisuusoh-

jeet ja käyttöohjeet. Jos turvallisuusohjeiden

ja määräysten noudattaminen laiminlyödään, siitä

voi olla seurauksena vakavia loukkaantumisia ja /

tai aineellisia vahinkoja.

Säilytä kaikki turvallisuusohjeet ja käyt-

töohjeet myöhempää tarvetta varten.

Tarkasta laite ennen käyttöönottoa

mahdollisten vaurioiden varalta. Jos

havaitset laitteessa vaurioita, sitä ei missään

tapauksessa saa ottaa käyttöön.

Älä käytä laitetta lasten ja

muiden henkilöiden läheisyy-

dessä. Huomion kiinnittyessä muu-

alle voit helposti menettää laitteen hallinnan.

Älä kostuta materiaaleja tai työstet-

täviä pintoja liuotinainepitoisilla nes-

teillä.

Vältä lyijypitoistan maalien tai muiden

terveydelle haitallisten materiaalien

hiomista.

Asbestipitoista materiaalia ei saa

työstää. Asbestia pidetään syöpää aiheutta-

vana.

Älä kosketa pyörivään hiomalevyyn.

Käytä laitetta vain asennetulla hio-

malevyllä.

Laitteen tulee olla aina puhdas, kui-

va, puhdas öljystä ja voitelurasvasta.

Pidä työpaikkasi siistinä. Materiaalise-

koitukset ovat erittäin vaarallisia. Kevytmetalli-

pöly voi palaa tai räjähtää.

Varmista työstettävä kappale. Kiinni-

tyslaitteilla tai ruuvipenkkiin kiinnitettynä kap-

paletta on turvallisempi työstää kuin kädessä

pidettynä.

Älä missään tapauksessa nojaa käsillä

laitteen tai työstettävän pinnan vie-

reen tai eteen, koska luiskahtaminen merkit-

see loukkaantumisvaaraa.

Varmista, etteivät lentävät kipinät

materiaalit koneen läheisyydestä. Metallin

hionnassa syntyy lentäviä kipinöitä.

Aseta laite päällekytkettynä työstet-

tävään kappaleeseen. Nosta laite työstä-

misen jälkeen työstettävästä kappaleesta ja

kytke se vasta sitten pois päältä.

Anna sammutetun laitteen pysähtyä,

ennen kuin asetat sen pois.

Tarkista kierrosluku ja värähtelytaso

jokaisen käytön jälkeen.

Tarkista kierrosluku säännöllisesti.

HUOMIO! Poista laitteesta ennen huoltoa

vaaralliset aineet, jotka ovat (työprosessien

vuoksi)sakkautuneet niihin. Vältä ihokosketusta

näiden aineiden kanssa.

Huomautus: Jos iho altistuu vaarallisille pö-

lyille, saattaa siitä seurata vaikea ihotulehdus.

Jos huoltotöiden aikana syntyy pölyä tai sitä

lentää ilmassa, voidaan sitä hengittää sisään.

Yleiset varotoimenpiteet

Laitteen käyttäjän tulee arvioida aina yksittäisiin

käyttötapoihin liittyvät erityiset riskit ja käyttää

vastaavia varotoimenpiteitä.

Moninkertaiset riskit. Turvallisuusohjeet

täytyy lukea ja ymmärtää ennen asennusta,

käyttöä, korjausta, huoltoa ja ennen hiontaan

tai kiillotukseen tarvittavien lisävarusteiden

vaihtoa sekä ennen koneen läheisyydessä

työskentelyä. Jos näin ei toimita, siitä saattaa

seurata vakavia ruumiillisia vammoja.

Hiontaan ja kiillotukseen tarkoitetun laitteen

saa asentaa, säätää ja käyttää vain vastaa-

vaan tehtävään koulutettu laitteenkäyttäjä.

Tähän hiontaan ja kiillotukseen tar-

koitettuun hiomakoneeseen ei saa

tehdä muutoksia. Muutokset voivat alen-

taa turvallisuusohjeiden vaikutusta ja lisätä

käyttäjään kohdistuvia riskejä.

Turvallisuusohjeet tulee olla aina saa-

tavilla – anna ne käyttäjän säilytettäväksi.

Älä koskaan käytä vioittunutta hioma-

tai kiillotuskonetta.

Laitteet täytyy tarkastaa säännöllisesti,

jotta niissä on selvästi luettavissa tässä

käyttöohjeessa vaadittavat mittausar-

vot ja tunnukset. Työnantajan/käyttäjän

täytyy ottaa yhteyttä valmistajaan, jos hän

tarvitsee vaadittavat varakilvet.

Sinkoavista osista

aiheutuvat riskit

Työstettävän kappaleen, lisävarusteen tai itse

laitteen murtuessa ilmaan voi singota osia

suurella nopeudella.

Hiontaan tai kiillotukseen tarkoitetun

koneen käytössä on käytettävä aina

iskunkestäviä suojalaseja. Tarvittavien

suojainten määrä tulisi arvioida erikseen

jokaista käyttöä varten.

Pään yläpuolella tapahtuvassa työs-

tössä tulee käyttää suojakypärää.

Tässä tapauksessa myös muita henkilöitä

koskevat riskit tulisi arvioida.

Varmista, että työkappale on kiinni-

tetty kunnolla.

Kiinnitarttumisesta

aiheutuvat riskit

Seurauksena saattaa olla tukehtumi-

nen ja / tai viiltoja ihoon, jos koneen

tai sen lisävarusteiden läheisyydessä

käytetään työskenneltäessä löysiä

vaatteita, koruja, kaulaketjuja, pitkiä

hiuksia tai käsineitä.

Käytöstä aiheutuvat riskit

Laitteen käytön aikana käyttäjän kä-

det ovat alttiina riskeille kuten esim.

viilloille, hankautumiselle ja kuumuu-

delle. Käytä sopivia käsineitä käsiesi suojaksi.

Laitteen käyttäjien ja huoltohenkilöstön fyysisen

kunnon täytyy riittää laitteen koon, painon ja

tehon käsittelyyn.

Pidä laitetta oikein kädessä: valmistaudu

laitteen tavallisiin ja yllättäviin liikkeisiin – pidä

molemmat kädet toimintavalmiina.

Huomioi, että vartalosi on tasapai-

nossa ja seisot tukevasti paikoillasi.

Aktivoi käynnistystä ja pysäytystä ohjaava laite,

jos sähkönsyöttö keskeytyy.

Käytä vain valmistajan suosittelemia voiteluai-

neita (pneumaattista öljyä).

Jotta voit öljytä laitteen käsin, irrota ilmaletku

ja voitele 1 - 2 tipalla sopivaa pneumaattista

moottoriöljyä työkalun letkunpää (syöttöaukko).

Käytä suojakäsineitä. Muutoin

seurauksena saattaa olla viiltoja!

Käytä sopivaa vaatetusta!

Toistuvista liikkeistä

aiheutuvat riskit

Hioma- ja kiillotuskoneen käytössä

käyttäjä saattaa tuntea työstön aika-

na epämiellyttävää tunnetta käsissä

ja käsivarsissa, kaulassa ja olkapäillä

tai muissa ruumiinosissa.

Hioma- ja kiillotuskoneen käytössä

käyttäjän tulisi huomioida mukava

asento, seisoa tukevasti paikoillaan

ja välttää epämiellyttäviä asentoja

sekä sellaisia asentoja, joissa tasapai-

no on vaikea pitää. Käyttäjän tulisi pitkään

jatkuvan työstön aikana muuttaa asentoa, mikä

auttaa välttämään epämukavaa oloa ja väsy-

mystä.

Jos käyttäjä tuntee esim. jatkuvaa tai

ajoittaista pahanolon tunnetta, rasi-

tusta, sykkimistä, kipuja, pistelyä,

tunnottomuuta, polttoja tai jäykkyyt-

tä, tulisi nämä oireet ottaa vakavasti.

Käyttäjän tulisi ilmoittaa näistä työnantajalle ja

ottaa yhteyttä lääkäriin.

Lisävarusteista

aiheutuvat riskit

Irrota hioma- tai kiillotuskone sähköverkosta

ennen kuin vaihdat työkaluja tai lisävarusteita.

Käytä vain valmistajan lisävarusteita ja käyttö-

tarvikkeita, jotka ovat oikean kokoisia ja tyyp-

pisiä.

Vältä käytön aikana ja sen jälkeen suoraa

kosketusta työkaluun, sillä se saattaa olla

kuumentunut tai teräväreunainen.

Käytä ainoastaan hioma- ja kiillotuskoneen

työkaluja, jotka valmistaja on kehittänyt laitteen

käyttöön.

Älä käytä katkaisulaikkoja tai katkaisukoneita.

Tarkista, onko työkalun (kiillotuslaikat, hioma-

nauhat, fiiberilaikat jne.) maksimi käyttökierros-

luku korkeampi kuin laitteen mitattu kierrosluku.

Tarkista, että itsekiinnittyvät hiomalevyt asen-

netaan kiinnityslevyn keskelle.

Riskit työpaikalla

Liukastuminen, kompastuminen ja

kaatuminen ovat yleisimpiä syitä

työpaikalla loukkantumisiin. Huomioi

laitteen käytöstä liukkaaksi tulleet pinnat ja

mahdolliset vaaratilanteet, jotka aiheutuvat

ilma- ja hydrauliletkuihin kompastumisista.

Toimi varovasti vieraissa työympäris-

töissä. Vaaratilanteita saattavat aiheuttaa

sähköjohdot tai muut johdot.

Hiontaan ja kiillotukseen tarkoitettu-

ja hiomakoneita ei saa käyttää räjäh-

dysalttiissa ympäristössä eikä niitä

ole eristetty sähköisiä virtalähteitä

vastaan.

Varmista, että työstettävässä paikas-

sa ei ole esim. sähköjohtoja tai kaasu-

putkia, jotka koneen käytön seurauksena

voisivat vaurioitua ja johtaa vaaratilanteeseen.

Pölystä ja höyryistä

aiheutuvat riskit

Hioma- ja kiillotuskoneiden käytöstä

syntyvä pöly ja höyryt voivat aiheut-

taa sairauksia (kuten esim. syöpää,

epämuodostumia sikiölle, astmaa ja /

tai ihotulehduksen); siksi on välttämätöntä

tehdä selvitys riskeistä ja ottaa käyttöön sopivat

suojatoimenpiteet.

Riskien selvittämisessä tulisi ottaa

huomioon sekä koneen käytöstä syn-

tyvät pölyt että mahdollisesti ilmassa

leijuvat pölyhiukkaset.

Hioma- ja kiillotuskonetta tulee käyttää ja huol-

taa tämän käyttöohjeen mukaisesti, jotta pölyn

ja höyryjen syntyä voidaan vähentää minimiin.

Poistoilma tulee johtaa niin, että pölyn lentämis-

tä pölyisessä ympäristössä voidaan vähentää

minimiin.

Jos pölyä ja höyryjä syntyy käytössä, tärkeintä

olisi valvoa niitä niiden syntypaikassa.

Kaikki laitteeseen asennetut osat ja lisävarusteet,

jotka ottavat talteen, imevät tai ehkäisevät pölyn

ja höyryjen syntyä, tulisi käyttää ja huoltaa asi-

anmukaisesti valmistajan ohjeiden mukaan.

Käyttötarvikkeet/työkalut tulee valita, huoltaa

ja korvata uusilla käyttöohjeen suositusten mu-

kaisesti, jotta tahaton pölyn ja höyryjen lisäys

voidaan välttää.

Käytä hengityssuojainta työnantajan ohjeiden

tai työsuojelu- ja terveysmääräysten mukaan.

Melusta aiheutuvat riskit

Korkea melutaso saattaa ilman riittä-

viä kuulosuojaimia johtaa pysyvään

kuulon heikentymiseen, menetykseen

tai muihin vaurioihin kuten esim. tinni-

tukseen (korvien soimiseen, huminaan

tai suhinaan).

On välttämätöntä selvittää nämä riskit ja ottaa

käyttöön sopivat suojatoimenpiteet.

Riskiä voidaan vähentää sopivilla suojatoimen-

piteillä kuten eristysaineiden käytöllä, jolla

voidaan estää työkappaleista syntyvät äänet.

Käytä kuulosuojaimia työantajan ohjeiden tai

työsuojelu- ja terveysmääräysten mukaan.

Hiontaan ja kiillotukseen tarkoitettua

konetta tulee käyttää ja huoltaa käyt-

töohjeen suositusten mukaisesti, jotta

melutason tahaton nousu voidaan

välttää.

Käyttötarvikkeet/työkalut tulee valita, huoltaa

ja korvata uusilla käyttöohjeen suositusten mu-

kaisesti, jotta tahaton melutason nousu voidaan

välttää.

Varmista aina, jos kone on varustettu

äänenvaimentimella, että se on ase-

tettu paikalleen ja se on toimintakun-

toinen käytettäessä konetta.

Värähtelystä aiheutuvat riskit

Värähtely saattaa vahingoittaa her-

moja ja haitata käsien ja käsivarsien

verenkiertoa.

Pukeudu lämpimästi kun työskentelet kylmässä

ja pidä kätesi lämpiminä ja kuivina.

Jos havaitset konetta käyttäessäsi, että

käsiesi iho on tunnoton, pistelee, särkee

tai värjäytyy valkoiseksi, keskeytä

työskentely, ilmoita asiasta työnanta-

jallesi ja ota yhteyttä lääkäriin.

Hiontaan ja kiillotukseen tarkoitettua konetta

tulee käyttää ja huoltaa käyttöohjeen suositus-

ten mukaisesti, jotta tahaton värähtelyn voimis-

tuminen voidaan välttää.

Pidä laitteesta varmasti mutta ei liian lujasti

kiinni, sillä värähtelyn riski yleensä nousee mitä

lujemmin laitteesta pidetään kiinni.

lisäturvallisuusohjeet

Paineilma saattaa aiheuttaa vakavia

vammoja.

Kun konetta ei käytetä, ennen lisävarusteiden

vaihtoa tai ennen korjaustöitä huolehdi siitä,

että ilmansyöttö on suljettu, ilmaletku ei ole

paineenalainen ja kone katkaistaan paineil-

mansyötöstä.
